2K teases us with the BioShock 'Cool Sh-t' trailer
Download to PSP
Although it's arriving on PS3 a year after the original Xbox 360 version, we're still excited for the upcoming release of BioShock. Publisher 2K Games sent us a new trailer for the PS3 version, and aptly titled it the "Cool Sh*t" trailer. For those familiar with Levine's game, this trailer will highlight some of the great locales from the game. For those new to the game ... well, tell us if this gets you hyped. New screenshots of the PS3 version have been added to our gallery:

Unfortunately, going to be preoccupied playing Dead Space, Socom, or any other stuff on my backlog list...
frankym @ Sep 9th 2008 5:18PM
Problem is this game comes out Oct. 21, same day as Far Cry 2, which I will be picking up instead. Following week its Fallout 3, week after that its Resistance 2.....and the week after that....Mirrors Edge. WHEN THE HECK CAN I PLAY THIS GAME?
kentuckyfried @ Sep 9th 2008 6:00PM
OCTOBER...is going to be insane goodness. ;)
kevin @ Sep 9th 2008 5:20PM
do they really expect us to pay 60 bucks for this
really?
PSN: Puselva @ Sep 9th 2008 7:55PM
I am gladly looking forward to paying $60 (relatively speaking--wish "normal" price was cheaper). I haven't played this yet, so it is a 'new' release for me. With all the hype and awards this game won, I am very excited to play it and it should be well worth the price of entry.

I'm on my 3rd time playing this game on my computer, but make no mistake, I'm VERY excited about this coming to the PS3. I'm just gonna wait a few months for some used games to hit the market at a more reasonable price.
blkant @ Sep 9th 2008 5:34PM
i didn't care the first time, and i don't care this time, they already delayed it and they wont even give us new shit, fuck them... *besides, i had it on pc, sucked ass anyways*
Kal @ Sep 9th 2008 6:00PM

AdrianXIII @ Sep 9th 2008 5:39PM

First day purchase for me.

The game lost my interest too early-on on both 360 and PC, so idk what they're gonna do to make it any better on PS3. I feel they should've started the price at $50. Being almost a year after the initial release and only adding a couple extras (trophy support) is not going to help support the $60 pricetag. I see $40 as a justifiable price for most. Hell, I'd probably even buy it at $30 just because it is still a good game overall with great graphics. I just wish this came out earlier.

i prefer dead space over this >_
posty @ Sep 9th 2008 6:37PM
Judging from this video, it sadly looks like PS3 folks are getting shafted once again by sub-par frame rates. This game ran like a total dog on my PC, so I was looking forward to the PS3 version -- but after seeing this, I'm now inclined to either rent it, or just pass on it all together.
peter @ Sep 9th 2008 8:03PM
^^^ it should run the same as the 360 version so stop TROLLING said GAMESPOT.COM
ryan @ Sep 9th 2008 8:08PM
i like how you added the "us PS3" in this second post attempt.
it shows you're sincere and not trolling. :P
Hunts314 @ Sep 9th 2008 9:19PM
going by what you saw in a flash trailer on a website? Thats not very smart. Its been said it will run as good as the 360 version and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't.
PC-Max @ Sep 10th 2008 1:21AM
I played this on the PC... and its a one play game. I will give it this. It takes all the best of games and puts it in here. That said work of the textures could have been better, the gameplay and levels got repetitive. They could have made levels more exciting than they did.
Overall pick this game up when it gets real cheap or a used copy. But for an old game like this with really nothing new to talk about... its not worth full price.
Save your money and buy Little Big Planet or just wait for Killzone 2.
Cheers!

Still looks jerky, underwhelming and not fun... same as it did on PC and 360 (I played both versions and the gameplay and ergonomics were absolutely DIRE for a so called AAA title). Enjoy the story and the atmos if you will but don't expect anything from 'whack-a-mole' slow, lightweight feeling 'gameplay'.
A sham of of game, should have been released 5 years ago and then MAYBE it would have felt 'up to date' in the areas of control, gameplay and physics/animation.
j.howlett @ Sep 10th 2008 8:06AM
when i first saw the commercial for this game i was excited by the guy with the drill. i should have known better because it was from the first person view but i was disappointed to find out i couldn't drill anybody. that upset me more than it not coming to ps3 at the time because i could have borrowed a 360. unless i see proof i get to drill somebody i'll hold out because i have little interest in a 2 y/o trick baby in a system shock remake under water.
Rayman161 @ Sep 10th 2008 8:11AM
played this on PC and it was awesome,i might rent it ps3 version

to all of you that are poo-pooing bioshock but have never played it: you're doing a terrible disservice to yourself if you don't at least try it.
i'm not being critical of you in anyway, so please don't take it liek that; but there's a reason why bioshock got a 96 on metacritic: it's a great game. i loved it so much on 360 that i'm dying to play it on ps3.
a few cautions: if you like dumb shooters that don't require you to think at all, you should know that this game is different. take the time to learn the tactics. hack security systems and turrets. turn splicers against big daddys. conserve ammo as best you can. and don't you dare harvest a single little sister! ;)
