Rumor: Cross Edge headed Stateside

Unfortunately, ensemble titles involving characters from multiple Japanese companies traditionally failed to get released in the US due to licensing issues (think Namco x Capcom and Jump Super Stars). So most of us pretty much thought Cross Edge was going to suffer the same fate; afterall, it features characters from IPs such as Darkstalkers, Disgaea, Ar Tonelico to name a few. Luckily, Siliconera is reporting that "trusted source" has informed them that a company "we know very well" will be releasing the title stateside.

We are crossing our fingers and toes hoping this is true, and it will certainly help quench the thirst of PS3 owners for JPRGs. Check out the known roster of the game after the jump, again courtesy of Siliconera.

Disgaea: Etna, Prinnies

Darkstalkers: Morrigan, Felicia, Demitri, Lilith

Ar Tonelico: Aurica, Misha, Shurelia, Lyner

Mana Khemia 2: Roze, Lillane, Whim

Atelier: Marie

Spectral Souls: Mue

you might want to check your spelling. i don't believe this game has a rooster. :)

I hope this comes out. Would be a great surprise and may open the door for more Cross games to come out (Looking at you NamcoXCapom).

YES YES YES!!! Bring this to NA (especially Canada). We PS3 owners who love JRPGs are starved for our console......

Atlus releases Disgea and Ar Tonelico right? Don't know bout Darkstalkers and too lazy to check but hopefully they will.

Atlus published at least one Disgaea title, but NIS took care of the publishing for Disgaea 3.

Ar Tonelico was technically published by NIS, but the relationship between Atlus and NIS is one that Atlus tends to help out (sometimes A LOT) w/ the publishing.

If I had to guess at who's taking this one, I imagine it'd be NIS, seeing that four of the five titles thus revealed are NIS titles.

Off Topic: Jump! Ultimate Stars is a fantastic game (I don't even like anime) and it's really a shame that it will never see an official English translation.

I say it's Atlus. And damn I hope they do release it over here, I have been checking the official jp site for the game and it's pretty cool!!

The Japanese demo is up and its so awesome. and hey i will take a rumor of this game coming to the states anyday as long as it becomes true. but it does make you wonder how Chaos Wars ended up in the states(good game but includes a bunch of characters from a whole bunch of companies)
