WipEout HD is surprisingly cheap (in the UK): �11.99

So, there's a bit of WipEout HD news you should be expecting soon. But for now, feast on this: WipEout HD, a PSN download-exclusive, will be available in the UK for only £11.99. (Conversion rates put that at €15.11, $21.01)

Even better, the release is supposed to be before the end of this month, according to CVG. Stay tuned, as US release info is coming very soon.

Great news. I thought it was going to be $40 and release closer to Nov. Very glad that the release may be much sooner.

It should be cheaper here in the US. Game looks awesome and w/ offline multiplayer and trophy support it is must-buy if the price stays below $20.

The only thing that needs upgrading = more customization features. Let us change actual parts of the ship and color them completely customized like in F-Zero GX.

Even better - Let us import pictures from our harddrive and paste them on our vehicles.

That would make this game perfect. I mean it already has trophies and custom soundtracks.

I think it is safe to say that this is a bargain. I know I would have paid full retail price for it (but not without whining a little though :-P).

And those cheapskates that think $21 is expensive, would have complained no matter what the price had been.

That's actually very reasonable indeed. I wouldn't have flinched at £20 but don't tell Sony.

Incidentally, one of the posters above might like to consider that people who write for this site can only report on what they hear at any given time. Sheesh.

Having said what I said, something has occurred to me as a side point.

I rather suspect a lot of ships, music tracks, and courses that have been designed for it will not ship with the release. So £11.99 will be a (generously sized) starter pack of sorts and by the time you've bought all the DLC the price might be a little closer to what some of us were expecting!
