European MotorStorm: PR demo codes have been delivered

While the MotorStorm: Pacific Rift demo is currently only available via Qore in America, SCEE has sent out a batch of redemption codes to a number of lucky Europeans. Check your emails and make sure it's not lurking in your spam. We're not sure whether all the codes have now been sent out, or if there are more to come, but keep checking throughout the day just in case. Did you get one? Simply enter the code in the redemption screen in your acccount management section of the XMB and you can begin your download. Let us know what you think, both of the demo and of this method of content distribution.

I dont like this..mostly because I didnt get one. :p But seriously, whats the point of this other than locking out North American users from the demo and making them pay for it instead...? This is putting me of buying the game, only a little tho, I'll still buy iy, loved the first one. :)

what? this is like the only good thing to happen to Europe ps3 players. USA gets everything, we get a demo a month before release, i honestly would prefer everything you guys get and for you to have my code :)

Its not like thats not available in the states, its available through Qore and pre-orders so at least you have the choice. And I live in Ireland...so I know how much the EU gets...or rather doesnt get. Oh and I got the demo, guess they did several releases.

You do realize that Sony will (most likely) release the demo after about a month of Qore-exclusivity. So it's up to the consumer if they want to buy the episode of Qore or wait for an extra month.

I got it finally and the email says it'll be available on the store later on.

"This voucher is valid for use until October 11, 2008. After that time, you will be able to download the demo version of MotorStorm Pacific Rift when the download is made available on PLAYSTATION®Store."

The preorder demo from Gamestop and the Qore demo are the same. Just put five on it, then cancel or roll it over on to something else.

hmm .. I like free demos better - but I guess its nice for promotion, expos and to tie a demo to another purchase (like a game could have a demo code attached - alsost like trailers on a film DVD.)

Here are my thoughts on MotorStorm 2: Pacific Rift

I purchased the first one, and like it very much. However, as far as graphics wise, at least from the first one I did not see much of an improvement which I was disappointed by. The gameplay remains the same, and it looks like the levels play more into the gameplay as there are many more paths in which you could take. Of course, the offline multiplayer is a plus, but not I am thinking harder whether or not to purchase this when it comes out.

this is ridiculous. its just a demo. if its available it should be freely released...i wasnt overly impressed with motorstorm1..great graphics but i wasnt overly impressed wiht the gameplay...found it too hard to compete with the ai racers...however, i have been curious about motorstorm2...but with all the great games coming out soon, theres no way im buying motorstorm2 without trying it out first...forget motorstorm2 and forget qore...i'll just buy other games instead...

I feel rather lucky! I signed up for it only yesterday and got my gold ticket though 5mins go. ... I was also lucky enough to beta test home.

... Maybe its cause sony know how long i spend on its machine. .. too long probably!!

Got the code ...downloaded it, not bad, very,very similar to the first one.
Slightly better ragdolls effect on your body when you come off the bike.
The email states the code is only good for one download, but if you guys want to try it anyway, it's

I have already downloaded and played the demo several times. I got it from Gamestop when I preordered. The demo only uses the two-player split screen. The controls actually seem to be a little too loose. They seem more loose than the first. The music is back and better than ever, but the game needs a little more work. The tracks look good, but no lava or water;(.

The jumps make you feel like you are floating in air for way too long. The first had a feel of gravity. The rally car has that horrible stretched feel some racing games give the length of their cars to instill the sense of depth. The music was too loud in the demo and at times it was hard to hear the overheating.

So far, I think the wrecks in the first MS were more fun. These seem shallow for some reason. Haven't quite put my finger on it yet. Their is more to the wreck now, but not enough. With the detailed wrecks we are getting in Burnout Paradise, I expected a lot more from Pacific Rift. Afterall, the wrecks are a major part of this game.
