WipEout HD brings hyper racing home on September 25

The circle is now complete. After finding out the price for WipEout HD, and learning of the slick new details, there was only one piece of key information that was left missing; that would be a solid release date. However, now we know it: Thursday, September 25 for North America.

That's next week's PSN Thursday. Dropping a 20 note for the game shouldn't be too difficult to do. After all, you'll be foaming from the mouth to play this -- not from epilepsy mind you, but from the sheer gorgeousness of it. Go on, wipe that chin ... you're staining the carpet.

[UPDATE] Europeans, don't fret. SCEE have told us that WipEout HD will be available on the European PSN on the same day, September 25th.

also anyone no the file size its gonna be i hopes its not over 1 gb but i can see it being really large being 1080p and all

Almost ALL PSN games run in 1080p. I'm guessing this game will be around 300 - 400MB.

I think I'm going to wait for a video review on this one. Don't get me wrong; I want it, but I'm just not sure it's the type of game that will hold my attention. Hoping that a video review will go ahead and send me over the edge.

Overall, great price for what appears to be a great PSN title.

just play the psp version...then in youre mind add all those pretty graphics and you'll know what you will get with this wipeout HD

Finally! This is THE reason for spending one months salary on 40" TV & PS3 80GB. I've also taken the day off on friday 26th & monday 29th just drown in Wipeoutian landscapes.

I'm thinking I'm not going to buy it. I was going to before, but I'm on the verge of beating S-10 in GT5 P and Burnout Bikes comes out next week, too. By the time I'm done with those two, It will be Eternal Sonata time. :/

It's not next week, it's the week after. Not only do you guys need someone who understands the MAJOR difference between component and composite cables, but you also need someone who can read a calendar properly.

You don't need a demo.

1. If you like racing you'll like WipEout...simple.

2. If you don't like racing but want to try...play Fatal Inertia demo and make it 1000% more awesome...that's WipEout.

Being that its made here in uk i hope that they are releaseing it here first or at same time, not that im buying it, as much as id like too, im not supporting games that dont appear on a disc nor am i supporting games that intend to milk the hell out of my wallet for dlc, which is whats gonna happen
