Life With PlayStation was downloadable, but not for long
Whoops! Looks like Sony might have accidentally let Life With PlayStation slip out into the public domain. Not for long, though, the service is now unavailable again. Though a few Americans managed to get their hands on it, Sony has told Eurogamer that "while testing the application, Life with PlayStation was available for download temporarily, by mistake." No doubt we'll be seeing a release date announcement pretty soon, which is good because the worldwide weather and news service has been delayed numerous times since July. Not that we can get too excited about it -- we already have that functionality on our TVs and laptops (not to mention our Wiis).

It's been in their hands long enough... Just open it up already.
I'm sure the code base is probably stable and the rest is all politics.

I'm one of the few people that downloaded the app. My TV doesn't see the light of day, but the Life With Playstation app is running fine.
Someone add me to their PS3 and tell me if it says "Life With Playstation" as the current game. tomstockmail

Well, I guess those that got Life.....are now Beta testers in a way.
Wil @ Sep 17th 2008 11:00AM
i was able to get it last night. it runs very well.
up to date google news while folding at home, real time weather, nice globe graphic.
works with my blu ray remote control which is nice.
needs a zoom feature for reading text from a distance when in google but i'm liking it.
i'm sure the kids will have complaints, but plenty of adults like myself who watch the news and weather before going to work or going out will find this a welcomed feature that hopefully will expand..
and it helps cures cancer....
Tom @ Sep 17th 2008 11:05AM
Yeah, I'm on an SDTV still and the text is hard to read. Sucks that I can't just zoom in since its a browser window.
For the nice globe graphic those clouds are real time.
thinkofmeasmra @ Sep 17th 2008 11:40AM
how do you get it? through folding@home?
Jorank @ Sep 17th 2008 12:18PM

Thiago @ Sep 17th 2008 12:18PM
I download the Live if Playstation. I download when i try to conect in folding@home and they say "have a new version - 1.0".
The live have almost 200mb and is very nice. I'm forum Brazil (sorry my english) and don't have many news here but in other places have a lot! The news came from google news and others sites. When you use live you can change from live to folding to see your protein being processed!

francisco @ Sep 17th 2008 6:02PM
i was wondering why i didn't see it last night when people were screaming about it. It was a mistake heh
MexicanTerrorist @ Sep 17th 2008 6:40PM
Seriously, WTF.
It's finished and in the hands of people!
Why hasn't it been released yet?
Ves @ Sep 17th 2008 8:30PM
If no issue appear during the next 2 days from people that actually got it they have no choice but to release it before or in the weekend after this mistake.
