Worldwide release dates for LBP revealed, plus early-bird DLC

Sony has revealed worldwide release dates for LittleBigPlanet. We already knew the game would be available in the UK on October 24th, but now a October 21st release date for North and Latin America has been confirmed. As for Japan, they can expect to see the game hit their shelves on the 30th of the month and Europe,Australia and New Zealand will get their hands on it on the 22nd. That's not all, though. An 80GB PS3 bundle will be made available on the 29th in Europe and the 31st in the UK. Phew. Confused? Here's the same info in handy-dandy bullet point form.

North & Latin America: 21st October
Europe, Australia & New Zealand: 22nd October
UK & Ireland: 24th October
80GB PS3 Bundle in Europe: 29th October
Japan: 30th October
80GB PS3 Bundle in UK & Ireland: 31st October

To celebrate the launch of the game, there will also be some limited-time-only DLC made available for early adopters. Specifically, these are a "Spaceman" costume (shown above) and a rare T-shirt. Check out the gallery below for a couple more images of these rare items. It's hard to believe this game is almost in our hands and we couldn't really be much more excited for it.

So...where's the 80 GB bundle for North America?

Im sure it will be announced shortly, but if they don't make it available, then they're missing out on A LOT of potential consumers for the PS3.

Wah? It's a game made by a British company, publised by SCEE and it still comes out in America first? and what's with the 2 day delay of UK releases behind Europe?

I don't mind it's not very long to wait but it just seems crazy.

I know it's annoying, but U.K games always come out on a friday, the only time I can remember different was MGS4 came out on a thursday. Game always post early, should get on 23rd with them, i got playtv 2 days before release with Game. Anyway good news, 25th Oct's my birthday, should be an excellent weekend!

If sony was supporting latinamerica we would have prices like in the US or maybe not the same but im sure it will not be $80dlls per game. The 360 in mexico for example have a diference of $5 dlls of the cost of the US games thats because Microsoft supports Mexico.

While it is true that Sony hasn't supported Latin America, they did announce at E3 that they would do so (I think during the LBP presentation, by coincidence), for whatever that's worth.

I'm confused, why would they release the 80GB + LBP bundle in the UK a full week AFTER the game itself has been released. If the bundle isn't ready, why not just hold off on the game release? Seems like they're gonna lose some sales on that SKU.

I have really warmed up to this game in the past month or so. I can see after playing Spore how much fun creating my own game content can be. I'll probably be picking it up the day it comes out.

You know what's also fucking awesome?

Australia is one day LATER compared to Europe itself considering the time difference. October 22 comes one day EARLIER for meeee.

Looks like Australia & NZ are the second to get it right after NA. ;]
