American PSN releases for September 25th

Cue the fireworks. You ready for another awesome PSN update? Four full PS3 games, two PSP games, three demos, plenty of add-on content and the usual smattering of videos and wallpapers and themes. By now you should be turning your PS3 on in order to get WipEout HD downloading immediately. It has full trophy support, as do Geon Emotions and Burnout Paradise, so you'd better get cracking -- that's a lot of trophies to collect. Here's the full release list:

Nice update. I bought Wipeout, Geon and the Buzz videogames pack! Also am downloading the demos and a couple themes and vids. Great update this week Sony!

Pity the Buzz packs are so expensive though. $6 isn't insane but it should have been like $4 at the most...and $8 is ridiculous.

I'll end up buying them all eventually though who am I kidding LOL

And all of us trophy whores will end up buying Geon, Wipeout, AND Burnout. Hours of fun for $60 ($70 if you're a Megaman fan, though the trophy whores will skip over that unless they also fall into the category of retro fiend or Megaman lover.).

yeah I'm not a trophy whore. I gotta admit I love getting them and they are a blast to get but I don't go out of my way to get them...and don't obsess over them. Geon is awesome though, it's definitely worth the money!

Same here, but I've seen enough to think it's like Fatal Inertia or F-Zero. Fatal Inertia does have a demo, so I played that back when it came out. Supposedly Wipeout>FI, so I'll just went with that and handed Sony my $20.

Is Burnout Paradise from the US Playstation Store region-locked? As in, it will only read BCUS game saves? Curious, because I want to purchase it from the US Store, but I have a BLAS game save (my disc copy was Asian).

I've been trying all day with no success. Everyone on my friends list seems to have it. Does the PSN just hate me??

You´re not alone... Im having the same problem here. I can read the message of the update but it doesnt download anything at all. Even if i erase the save file nothing happens.

Not working for me either. I keep loading up the game like the news tells me to but I'm never prompted to download the latest content. Not that it matters, I'm already done the game and I'd have to start all over again to get all the trophies. But I'd at least like to see if I can earn a couple of them....

It looks like Criterion's server might be down.

On the loading screen I've noticed that the News section was empty and says that it couldn't connect to the server.

Once I saw this I starting checking for it everytime I started up Burnout and everytime it says it cannot connect to the server. Online play still works though so I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not

Second, will someone please find a Comcast executive and kick them squaw in the nuts for me? I started my WipeoutHD download within about 5 minutes of release and it's only at 71%.

Ya know, I love this sight and all and most of the games reviewed and talked about on here, I actually do play. But I, like others play sports games too, and this website makes me feel like I'm at a Star Wars convention LOL

Let me explain, back in July when NCAA 09 was released, that was pretty much the biggest game sales history wise on that particular week's listing of games. So your headline that day mention there being nothing noteworthy to play.

I remember a guy commenting about that too. You guys act is if sports don't really matter, and only games like LBP, Mega Man, Wipeout HD(games I can't wait to play) are the only games that are relevant.

And today you failed to mentioned in your actual headline there being too basketball demo's out(both games suck of course). I realize there are sports video gaming websites, and I also realize you guys do put sports games in PSN updates and sales listings, but you rarely acknowledge them.

I can't get over why on a slow week of games back in July you didn't even say, "Not very much to choose from this week guys, but it is pigskin season again." Instead of just acting like FPS games,etc are all there is to play. Unless you guys change your name to anti-sportsps3fanboy lol, then show sports a little love especially on slow weeks.

And Madden doesn't count because it's a top 5 game on pretty much every system sales wise, so you HAVE to acknowledge it...Thanks, but I do love this website, but some of us like sports and occasionally wanna slap around the puck, or catch a TD or slamdunk and not just create things on LBP
