p.s MGS4 trailer...why?
Harvey @ Sep 25th 2008 10:54AM
Is Burnout worth buying? I ask this from both a money and trophy perspective.
I enjoy playing games offline to be honest, this is mainly due to a time issue. Playing online can get pretty hard for me.
Are the trophies tough to obtain online? About how much time do you have to spend online to get trophies?
Nice update :)
Tim Parsons @ Sep 25th 2008 11:05AM
hell yeah,. is it worth playing through a 2nd time for those who had it prior to trophies just to get the trophies,. maybe but too pissed to bother
djhsecondnature @ Sep 25th 2008 11:06AM
YES!
adolson @ Sep 25th 2008 11:08AM
It's an excellent game, and I don't really like racing games at all.. $30 is a steal, but that's the price for the disc version too.. I prefer discs, myself. But anyhow, the online is seamless - you can be playing offline, then with a couple button presses, you're in a game with friends or random people, instantly. It's really quite good. I don't know about the trophies yet, since they just came out.
lobotomies4free @ Sep 25th 2008 11:19AM
It's also great for people that don't do much online because the online is very layed back. it's much more like hanging out and messing around online than pure hardcore racing. great way to meet people
stargateheaven @ Sep 25th 2008 2:12PM
i reccomend buying the retail version if you find it cheap. the retail version doesnt have to install either :D
PSN ID -- TheUnforgivenII @ Sep 25th 2008 2:46PM
It's awesome, a must-buy even when it was without Trophy support!
WipEout HD only 18 euros? Wah!
Archon @ Sep 25th 2008 10:56AM
Wow... This means that Mega Man is exclusive for PS3 in Europe at the moment. That's cool. (Couldn't find on the UK Wii channel yet and the X360 version comes out on the 1st.)
Wraithen @ Sep 25th 2008 10:58AM
W00T lol finally an awesome euro upd8
Sound_of_snow @ Sep 25th 2008 11:02AM
Woah Awesum Update :D, downloading Wipeout Right now Woop :). think ill just buy burnout on disc from play.com thou its the same price n my harddrives way to packed already for another big download lol
heypaul @ Sep 25th 2008 11:38AM
Snow (or anyone else), how big is Wipeout? Hope it doesn't take up too much space on my 60 gigger.
Also, how big is Megaman/Megaman demo? I'm curious as to whether the size is comparable to an NES ROM, or whether it's bloated from modern programming.
Last, anyone know whether the disc version of Burnout requires an install?
Stoo @ Sep 25th 2008 1:05PM
WipEout HD comes in at just under 1Gb.
jaffa @ Sep 25th 2008 11:03AM
What are Rush - Moving Pictures? I've never heard of them!
tdrules @ Sep 25th 2008 12:38PM
youve never heard of rush?
theyre music pioneers
not a fan but i know theyve been very innovative in all instruments, good thing theyre on rock band
spikeylee @ Sep 25th 2008 11:24AM
Rush is a prog rock group, and Moving Pictures is one of their albums. Huge in the 70s and 80s. Very influential. Geddy Lee looks kinda creepy.
They've had a couple of songs in Rock Band and previous Guitar Hero's.
jaffa @ Sep 25th 2008 12:41PM
Oh, ok thanks a lot!
Rasti @ Sep 25th 2008 11:06AM
Megaman is not demo, it's the full game!
brandonshark @ Sep 25th 2008 11:06AM

deaftly @ Sep 25th 2008 1:25PM

Echnaton @ Sep 25th 2008 11:13AM
Great Sony!
Big thanks to sony switzerland for the free hardware-replacement! ( even it's only the hd-enclosure ;-) )
thefantasyboy @ Sep 25th 2008 11:07AM
Really nice update... Does anyone know the size of Burnout Paradise btw?
Livi70590 @ Sep 25th 2008 1:40PM
3.3 GB.
Steve @ Sep 25th 2008 11:12AM
Yeah my little 40GB HD is starting to feel a bit cramped.
Eggy @ Sep 25th 2008 11:14AM
Since when does 12 quid turn into 18 euros? I know we already pay more than the yanks for 95% of our games but this big a difference between european countries only a few hundred km apart?
Gaucho @ Sep 25th 2008 11:17AM
SOOOO STUPID!! where is PES 09 demo!?! I thought it was going to be last week now its not even this week.
k3mtrick @ Sep 25th 2008 11:25AM

Bear @ Sep 25th 2008 11:25AM
I'm from Europe, but I prefer to be loyal to the american store. Waiting for WipEout HD now. :(
kill00 @ Sep 25th 2008 11:29AM
Do you know what time does the US store update usually?
Bear @ Sep 25th 2008 11:46AM
Looks like it is at least 4 hours after. So you have time to make a nice dinner for you and your friend, do some work-out and come back to see WipEout HD on you American PS Store :)
Vincent @ Sep 25th 2008 3:24PM
How are you purchasing off the American Store now that they blocked entropay? o.o
I.AM.IRON.MAN @ Sep 25th 2008 11:29AM
Brilliant update, can't wait to see the Fallout theme!
Bit surprised at burnout's price, much cheaper to buy second blu-ray...
Now, do i DL the Mercs demo first or get straight into playing wipeout? hmm...
I.AM.IRON.MAN @ Sep 25th 2008 11:32AM
oopps... second HAND blu-ray...
Nash @ Sep 25th 2008 11:31AM
Whats the Poker add on 2? Is that only new in Europe? Haven't heard anything about it.
Bound @ Sep 25th 2008 11:35AM
err the Irish store is only showing the 2 burnout games for the PSP.... no other new content. Is the update fully live??
KiljoyMcCoy @ Sep 25th 2008 11:36AM
errrrrrr cant wait for wipeout hd
they need to update the American store in the morning make it allot better for us waiting on a game for over a year to finally get it cant wait
Woz @ Sep 25th 2008 11:42AM
The Rush DLC for RB would have been good enough for me, but damn, I'm going broke today
sw @ Sep 25th 2008 11:43AM
Just completed the Mega Man demo. Frig! That is a hard game.
Whoppy @ Sep 25th 2008 11:44AM
First thing I did when I got home was order WipeoutHD. Downloading now, going to lube my wrists up in preparation.
master811 @ Sep 25th 2008 11:46AM
Ugh what a complete rip-off Burnout is, the US store its $30, and here its £25!!!!! It should be £20 at the absolute maximum and really closer to £17.
No thanks, I'll just get the disc version as you can get it new for £20 now.
Christian @ Sep 25th 2008 12:22PM
Well if you got a friend or two who also wants Burnout Paradise you can install the PSN download up to five times. And thus split the cost between you. This is probably not even against the license of the PSN content as I remember it being promoted as one of the hidden treasures of the PSN Store by the Official Playstation Magazine here in the UK.
Sound_of_snow @ Sep 25th 2008 11:55AM
k3mtrick.. Its about 900mb i think, it looks really stunning :D i just got my first trophie on it wooop lol
Livi70590 @ Sep 25th 2008 12:07PM
Fantastic. But I have no Internets! NOOOOOO!
lee @ Sep 25th 2008 12:33PM
heads up for u american folk
wipeout has a really bad freeezing issue, it locks up ur whole ps3
a TEMP fix for this is to play signed out of the PSN, obviously this means you cant play online
some people on the uk forum have managed to get online working but they where the lucky few
Eggy @ Sep 25th 2008 1:22PM
It's the other way around. Lots of people have no problems only a few have issues.
