Rumor: LittleBigPlanet releasing two weeks early in the US?

Don't get too excited, this is almost certainly a mistake on Sony's part. The latest PlayStation Underground email, which was sent out yesterday, shows an image of our best pal, Sackboy, and below him it states "available October 7th." Which is weird, because we've already had official confirmation that the game will be releasing on the 21st in the US, with other regions following throughout that week. It's doubly weird, because the beta doesn't end until the 12th.

We're not convinced the game is going to be released almost a full week before the beta ends, but the email is directly from Sony. So, believe what you want to believe, but we're going to go the road-of-least-disappointment.

Yeah in the email if you follow the link it directs you to the sony site which has a closer date. (Oct 20th)

My gf preordered the game from GameStop and she said she got a call from them. She didn't answer but from what i remember game stop usually only calls individual houses to mention some special trade in for a preorder or to remind you that the game is coming out in a week or 2.

The original ship date for LBP was around the 27 October. Seems like it is probably just a typo, regardless I'll still camp out my GameStop that night just in case.

Weren't we just talking about the beta yesterday? I think they mentioned they were still doing builds, so seeing it in stores in a week isn't likely.

Then again, if they really wanted to get people's money, they'd release it as a download early, then sell all those shiny discs with the bonuses later! I'm sure they'd get some people to pay twice.

...but that's not what it's all about, is it?
