11 unannounced PS3 titles being shown at TGS

TGS is going to be a pretty big show for Sony. The PS3 has gone from strength to strength this year, with great showings at E3 and Leipzig, but it looks like the best might be yet to come. Sony Japan has sent out a press release detailing its show floor lineup for the Japanese event, which takes place between the 9th and the 12th of October. In addition to this year's big releases, such as LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2 and Home, Sony are listing 11 unannounced games.

Nine of these are being published by SCEJ, one is by Irem (R-Type developers) and one is from Konami. While we suspect some of these games will be ones we've heard of before (White Knight Story and some PSN titles, for example), there's little doubt that there will be new games being announced at the show. Maybe Team ICO will finally reveal what they've been working on? As for Konami, we've no idea what they've got planned -- it could be a DDR title, it could be Metal Gear Solid Existence. Just read on a swedish gaming site that Sony's plans for Playstation 4 leaked. Planned for 2011 or even earlier. Probably no truth in it but, am I the only one who are a bit worried about this? I have had my PS3 for one year now and I think that 2011 is waaay to early for a Playstation 4.

They are 100% wrong. Sony is still selling PS3 hardware at a loss. They won't have a new system till around 2014 probably.

I would say 2012.......6 years into the PS3 Cycle.......which is what they did with the PS3 coming out 6 years into the PS2 life cycle.......

Maybe even 2013........but no sooner than 2012.....

There is no way that a release date is even remotely nailed down yet. They have been working on the PS4 of course, that's no secret. And some developers that have been given a sneak-peek at it are very very excited.

"Metal Gear Solid: Existence..." possible MGS remake I suspect. The groundwork has been laid down in MGS4. I don't think it's a re release for MGS4 yet because, well their is no 4 in the title.

Sony's announcements have just been getting bigger as the year goes along.
Microsoft had one big announcement then didn't turn up in Leipzig.
Nintendo couldn't give a flying turd and are still rolling around their cash.

This is from the conventions alone by the way.

Hopefully Sony will date 2.50 and confirm Home will be included with it.

Should it be an MGS remake or an entirely new title I swear I'll cry like a little babie! But I dont think it will be anything related, for it seams so soon. Oh well, one can only hope.

By the way, I'll be more than happy if theres any news at all on the rpg department. The lack of rpg's on sony's system is infuriating. =/

after hearing about the FF13 announcement at E3 ..... haha yeaaaaaa Square Suck is dead too me along with Kingdom Farts and any other games they make. I just really hope too hear from Team ICO on their new game ... i own ICO and never played Shadow Of The Collossus i just borrowed it but have yet played it. COME ON TEAM ICO..... BRING US A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT !!!

Most of the PS3 games on that list are, in fact, new and upcoming titles. So I'm wondering why Mainichi Issho is there. It's not new. Unless there's some new feature they're planning to introduce for it?

(Darn those trophies, it got me hooked on this game!)
