Gran Turismo devs create real, smoking hot concept car

Polyphony Digital is best known for making Gran Turismo and digital concept cars for their games. Now the gamemaker can be known for giving life to real world concept cars. The white hot machine pictured above is a collaboration between Polyphony and car manufacturer Citroën, and was "specifically designed to bring the virtual and real worlds together."

Dubbed "GTbyCitroën," the machine was shown off at the Paris Auto Show in anticipation of Gran Turismo 5. Polyphony president Kazanori Yamauchi had this to say on the design: "To see the GTbyCitroën take shape in our game studios and then for real has been a truly unique experience -- as our work normally stays in the digital world." It sounds like to us that if you won't be able to drive this baby in the real world, you'll still get to hop into the driver's seat on the virtual track. Expect to see this concept car burning up laps on GT5. More pictures here.

It looks teh secks, I hope they do a test drive on Top Gear. Probably not though seeing as it is a concept, probably just get a mention on the news probably.

too bad the game isn't that good, already traded it in last week. Should have put that money towards hiring devs to remove the suck from the game.

lmao yup it handles like a boat too but it's very kwl and fast! It's only automatic as it's hydrogen fueled no Manual, Also update contains minor fixes to some things and contains 3 New Cars, Citroen GT, Lotus Eveora, Ferrari California which is brilliant and handles just how i like it. Great update and more to follow soon this month!

Meanwhile im left with a snide copy of gt5p full of laggers and bumper car racers!! about time we got private rooms and a visable ping rate and kick option isnt it? oh and maybe custom sound trax but tbh i dont care as long as the essentials got fixed
