Valkyria Chronicles EU release pulled forwards two weeks
Those of you who are looking forward to Valkyria Chronicles have a little less time to wait, it seems. The game is being pulled forward two weeks and will now release on October 31st. Considering this is a Friday, this is bound to be a European release and there's no word on a US date change, as of yet. Those interested in the game will be able to try out a demo next week. Be sure to check out our hands-on report to see what we think. (Spoiler: it looks great.) We just hope it sells as well as it deserves to, considering LittleBigPlanet launches the week before.

Oh great, as if I didn't already have enough tough decisions to make this month.
Neptune @ Oct 2nd 2008 10:53AM
October is getting filled.
SolidOtacon @ Oct 2nd 2008 10:55AM
Maybe December for me.

I hope they give the US a early release! I remember when they did this with FF10 back in the day, I skipped school and work that day! Of course not saying this game is at the same level of FFX, but I'm still excited about it!
That being said, since i'm so RPG deprived, any RPG sounds good right now!
I bet, if Enchanted Arms didn't come out until October 20, 2008 on either system, you can see me pre-ordering it with glee! That's how gun hoe I am about RPG's right now!

FFX and FFX-2 are both considered to be pretty lame in the grand scheme of FF titles. Especially FFX-2 with its "let's play dress up" concept, it was a game for girls.

X was ok, but X-2 was terrible...
_sean_ @ Oct 2nd 2008 1:44PM
X-2 wasn't that bad.
Story was bad, but it had one of the best battle systems ever for a FF game. Real-time job class switching was awesome.
ultimateidiot911 @ Oct 2nd 2008 11:28AM
Even if this changes in the US. I'm still getting both, preordered both.

All games the month of Oct. should be pushed back. Nothing stands a chance against LBP. As much as i think this game looks beautiful Its gonna get hurt by LBP. With the cost of games these days you have to hand pick what you buy. So this game gets bumped back because I want LBP more.
Professor Lario @ Oct 3rd 2008 11:11AM
I see what you are saying, but there are people out there, including me, that aren't interested in LBP. *shock!*
Seba501 @ Nov 4th 2008 1:39AM
This game needs a demo
Kholar @ Oct 2nd 2008 12:11PM
The post mentions one.

I think it's really good we have some variety this month! That way you choose what you want. I'm personally not getting LBP, but I'm getting Dead Space for sure.
I'm not getting Far Cry 2 right now, but i might get VC. Everything is good.

Are they mad!? That's the same day Fallout 3 comes out, it's gonna get overshadowed...
_sean_ @ Oct 2nd 2008 1:10PM
WRPGs and JRPGs usually have 2 different crowds.
brettjr25 @ Oct 3rd 2008 12:01AM
The demo is next week but Qore only. I would import this from the UK just to get it early but I heard you can't get download content for your game from the US PS store if the game is from a different region and since it's already confirmed that this has D/L content...I guess I have to wait.
It's not fair...it's already been sold in CA..
mikael @ Oct 2nd 2008 3:04PM
This will push LBP down to November's pay check.
doc j @ Oct 2nd 2008 3:07PM
Dead Space, LBP, Valkyria Chronicles, Resistance 2, Fall Out 3... something's gotta give, can't buy that much stuff on a grad student budget.
Oh, and of course Axis and Allies: Anniversary Edition is a must-buy :)
Oh well, perhaps this will leave me something to play next summer during the inevitable down-swing in game releases.

Wow, this is a great time to be a PS3 owner, but a terrible time to be poor.
This game is the one for me.. But so is LBP.. Grrr.
