Cool, in english that i can understand. In japanese just give me headaches to figure out the things that made me stop playing.

The game looks absolutely beautiful, but Fable 2 and Far Cry 2 have my attention in this period before Fallout 3. This might get picked up later used.

Actually, I think the sprites look like crap. But I'll wait to see it in motion somehow before making any final judgments =)

I like it. It has an early PSX RPG vibe to it. It reminds me of slaving away at Breath of Fire III abck in the day.....

Well, duuuh... That's what JRPG's are.
Japanese gamers love monotonous repetition as long as they are working towards a goal and are progressing. They're all RPG's where the evolution bit is incredibly complex to the Nth degree. Very few JRPG's are exceptions to this, and they're usually localized primarily for the sake of western audiences.
Final Fantasy X was a good example of this. The US version was much shorter than the JP and EU versions.
