Tenchu 4 to hit PSP, not Wii exclusive after all?
There isn't enough ninja on PSP. There aren't enough pirates either, but Tenchu 4 can't solve that. It can, however, save us from a current lack of stealth kills and rooftop trespasses. Speaking to a Tenchu 4 rep, Siliconera got word that the famed neck-snapper would be going to PSP.
Later, they found out that the game was also listed on the OFLC (Australia) as a multiplatform release. Is this all just coincidence or an early leak? We guess the one place to find out would be at TGS starting next week.

Tenchu 1 and 2 are great. I haven't played the 3rd, but I hope Tenchu 4 delivers!

OMG, I hope that rumor is true. I SO wanna play some nice portable Tenchu, and the last PSP one had those awful draw-distance issues that made it almost unplayable. I mean, how can you expect to stalk and kill people if you can't see beyond your nose?
Surely the programmers should have the knowledge now to milk the PSP's power better this time.

Definitely. With games out now like God of War in terms of smooth power and things like Syphon Filter looking great and handling complex enemies in large areas, we should expect a lot more out of a Tenchu PSP game. The level editor and stuff in the last one was great, and so were the co-op features, but the graphics and like you said, draw distance just weren't up to snuff.
Here's to hoping for change!

well i'm not surprised for a number of reasons.
1)DEVS ALWAYS say that their making an exclusive for a said console and then end up changing it.
2) the life time sales of the psp may be WAY smaller then the DS but the fact can't be denied that the PSP is a pretty sweet console for portable gaming on the go. sure the DS's touch screen is SUPER SWEET, but every now and again we gamers just hunger for a bit of button mashing action.
3) a lot of DEVS stay faithful to the PSP. Lucus Arts anyone?

Eesh. PSP-Wii games aren't necessarily bad (Alien Syndrome says hi), but still...
