Timesplitters 4 teaser: Revenge of the Simian

"Every game has a sequel." Oh, if only that were true. In the case of Timesplitters: Future Perfect, however, it is. Timesplitters 4 is well and truly in production. We're happy about it, but not as optimistic as we might have been before a certain narcotic-and-war-condemning title was released over Summer. Still, our hopes are high that Free Radical's next project will be a little less pretentious and a little more fun, like other Timesplitters games were.
A new video has appeared on the Free Radical website. It doesn't show a lot but, like the first teaser, it shows of more what we can expect from the game; monkeys and pop-culture parody. While the video is cute (particularly the very end), we desperately want to see some actual game footage. Still, a monkey in a suit is better than nothing. Right?

Yeah, I heard Haze was pretty average. I own and love all the TimeSplitters though, so it's still a first day buy for me if it comes to a console I own.

I loved TS2 but I thought TS3 was ass. I wouldn't blindly buy a TS4 if there was no demo.

I don't have Haze but I have a feeling that it's an adequate game and doesn't deserve all the shit it gets. I think people were just expecting their minds to be blown and the game didn't deliver in that regard.

did you even play the game or are you basing your opinion from the demo or other reviews?
because everyone hated on the game and demo and i simply love it.

I played the demo.
And it was mediocre.
And from what I've read of the reviews and talking to people who've played the game the demo was the best part.
I'm not wasting my time on a game like that.

Ok, Haze was absolute Rubbish gameplay wise. I think, when you put some thought into its story it isn't all full of rubbish however, but thats about it...
Yet, why are some of you comparing Haze to Timeslpitters and therefore debunking Free Rad. straight away... maybe there is a reason this is Timesplitters FOUR!!! Timesplitters is an amazingly fun FPS game and has something that the PS3 needs more of... Split-Screen play. The Split-Screen on Timesplitters has always been immensly fun.

I played and loved all the TimeSplitters. Future Perfect was one of the best and I can remember MANY a whole saturday spent with PS2's networked in 12 player deathmatches! I hope they keep the tongue-in-cheekiness and addictive gameplay. Keep those challenges too!!!

the timesplitter games i've played before were fun. thats the reason people had hopes for haze. what i played of haze was just okay but i've seen video of different game play and it looks interesting.

I was never a fan of Timesplitters, but purchased Haze.
I also do NOT agree with the harsh critizism that Haze is receiving, and has received in the past.
It is not a great game, but a good game with plenty to do if one would at least give it a chance.
