If NBA 09:The Inside has trophies then its a got an advantage over all the other ones straight away. I've played all the demos liked 2K9 the most (I'm a series fan) but I'm more interested in trophies and 2K9 didn't seem that different to 2K8 even if it was only the demo.
NBA 09:The inside FTW (its just a shame its not out until next week for us Europeans :( ).
kevin @ Oct 5th 2008 10:44AM
dude like who cares if you have a virtual trophy over awesome gameplay just go for whatever plays best not for trophies that dont do nothing than make you card take like 2 mins to load when you check
Kholar @ Oct 5th 2008 11:46AM
Trophy bashing got old about a week ago.
Gonzo @ Oct 6th 2008 10:23AM
I still enjoy bashing trophies. They're pretty (actually... completely) useless.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who wasn't too impressed with Fracture. Jem hit the nail right on the head.
Wake me up when LBP gets here.
ScottishPrik @ Oct 5th 2008 10:26AM
Wiat hold on. Fracture comes out on a sunday.....stupid.
ScottishPrik @ Oct 5th 2008 10:46AM
Shit just saw the "of" part.
ScottishPrik @ Oct 5th 2008 10:43AM
Oops just saw the "of" part. Now who's stupid?
Game_playa @ Oct 5th 2008 2:21PM
YOU, for triple posting
ScottishPrik @ Oct 5th 2008 6:29PM
More like double post but yeah.

It's sad how Sony doesn't work hard at all on their NBA series. Seriously, they made MLB: The Show the best MLB game, and it's exclusive to the PS3. They make NBA: The Inside the worst NBA series which no one wants to buy. I think for NBA '10, they need to seriously look at the gameplay, and see what Live and 2k did better in gameplay, because that's where they need help. I'm no NBA fan, but if I had to choose, I would probably go with Live. I know, I know, 2k has a lot better gameplay, Live is more noob friendly I guess :P But that's why I'm not an NBA fan. I'm a footy fan, and used to be a Winning Eleven/PES fan, but now, I've switched over to FIFA because it's overtaking the PES franchise, and is actually a lot better, and I actually find it more difficult to play, which I like in a footy game.
massive_98 @ Oct 5th 2008 12:54PM
Me too. Fifa 08 has me convinced. I'm just surprised Sony's NBA franchise makes enough money to make it viable. Its competing with two better games every year.
cwyze23 @ Oct 5th 2008 10:59AM
Which NBA game do u guys recommend? I played all 3 demos As far as the gameplay goes, I like 2K9 the best but I think it has the worst graphics Do n-e of u know improvements each has over its predecessor?
Mike @ Oct 5th 2008 11:00AM
I actually like that Fracture is looking to add some puzzle elements to the FPS genre... kinda like Half-Life 2 did with the grav gun. It'll be fun to do some puzzley/shooty/crushy without standard gunblasting.
stargateheaven @ Oct 5th 2008 11:44AM
Yeah it's nice adding puzzles..
it's not an FPS though.
Dartmerc @ Oct 5th 2008 6:18PM
Did you play the demo? It sure *sounds* fun.. not so in practice.
mikelhend @ Oct 5th 2008 7:33PM
Yeah, actually the demo won me back over from being very "meh" about it. I'll wait for some reviews to come in first, because with good level design, it could be a fun game. With bad or average level design... well... :-P
oglabogla @ Oct 5th 2008 11:09AM
Usually Ill keep demos on my PS3 and play them a few times before I actually buy the game. With Fracture, I had to slave through the whole demo and then just decided that uninstalling it would do me better...
georgejames @ Oct 5th 2008 12:34PM
Trophy support.. nice added bonus but really people? Your going to choose nba the life over 2k9 or live because of a virtual trophy? I am getting all three basketball games cause im a basketball nut but i will sell nba the life after beating it in a couple weeks. But i am not getting nba the life for trophies and if you choose it for that reason i think its a little weird!
Khaled @ Oct 5th 2008 12:48PM
"wierd" aka trophy whore
georgejames @ Oct 5th 2008 12:55PM
yeah, i wasnt trying to be insulting but who cares THAT much about a virtual trophy. Id rather have a trophy girlfriend or wife.. ha ha
pliny5678 @ Oct 5th 2008 12:26PM
I enjoyed the Fracture demo even though everything aside from the Earth-changing felt generic. The IGN review wasn't encouraging. I will definitely rent it after I get done with Dead Space, TR: Underworld, and Prince of Persia. ;-)
Khaled @ Oct 5th 2008 12:49PM
I won't be getting any. I still haven't finished NBA 07!
Roto13 @ Oct 5th 2008 1:30PM
Eww, sports games. :(
iamkid @ Oct 5th 2008 2:32PM
right on
HiddenEmerald @ Oct 5th 2008 1:58PM
I actually enjoyed the Fracture demo, a lot. I'll definetly be buying this game. If you ask me, online could be awesome
ryan @ Oct 5th 2008 2:26PM
hmm, trophies or not trophies...how about make every game with trophy support?
georgel @ Oct 5th 2008 3:32PM
How can anyone like Fracture it was the worst game I have played this year. With so many great games coming out october and november and december.... wait a minute even if nothing was to be released in the next couple months i wouldnt understand buying that one. And whats with the guy saying you dont like sports games? you either arent a guy or you dont like sports in real life... theres nothing better than going online and betting the sh*t out of someone so bad where they try to cheat and loose it all together. especially if they are talking smack all game and your loosing but then you come back and beat them... happened to me with the dude who was instant replaying all his great plays to rub it in my face and was beating me by like 20 points till the 4th quarter when i came back and won! now what online game can give you that feeling besides a sport game?
Ty @ Oct 5th 2008 4:38PM

Where is Midnight Club Los Angelos?
JaseH @ Oct 5th 2008 7:52PM
Man Fracture sucked so baaad.
It was all going well until you had to shoot, fight & blast your enemies. What enemies you might ask?... little green hopping aliens. That's what.
And why was it a nervous wreck?.... well ontop of fighting sush swarms of generic beastlings... you had no cover system, so your only option is to rise the ground to hide behind. By the end of all this, you'd have wasted 5 minutes killing 3 enemies with a whole pile of ground in the air. It's tiring, and stupid, especially once you get sick of the whole ground muniplation gimmick.
The colors were a little annoying, and everytime someone shoots you, the whole screen turns red & it buzzes as if it's trying to blind you for life....
...Fck it. I'm done wasting time typing about this game, why someone would actually PAY for it is beyond me.

"Do be aware that DLC is locked to specific regions, though, so European games will require DLC from the Euro PSN Store."
Is this 100% confirmed? Because I was thinking of importing the UK LittleBigPlanet, just because I like the box art better and since the game was developed in the UK, I want the "original" version.
But if doing so means I wouldn't be able to get any DLC for the game with my US PSN account, then I may as well just get the US version of the game...
So, is that statement that I quoted 100% true for all PS3 games? DLC is region-locked?
Tuffcub @ Oct 6th 2008 10:17AM
Lego Batman sure aint out in the UK - checked the stores today.
