$3 just for an 8-bit character. Sad nowadays that this would usually be included in the game, or at least free DLC.

..........its 1.99

i bought this and its hard plus it only shows up on half and center of my screen...i wonder why
def. not buying this the game is horrible and hard! and it was only 65 mb haha
i know its meant to be like that since its a classic.

nice to see capcom really milking it.
lame lame lame.

Here we go folks, bullshit micro transaction time. I really just wish they would have thrown all of these modes in with the game. For ten bucks I should be able to have all this stuff, not to mention the fact that my ten dollars probably covered their entire development cost, I mean ReaLLY?!?! How much could this have cost to make, I guarantee their profit margin on this is already huge, so why do they feel the need to screw us over with this stuff? Anyone know? I need answers!
Haohmaru @ Oct 7th 2008 3:34AM
So, uh, don't buy it? Seriously. It's that easy. And at $10, Mega Man 9 still beats the shit out of any other similarly priced games on PSN or XBLA.
cflnut @ Oct 6th 2008 9:51PM
$8 for added content to a 8bit game. not an f-ing chance.
This stuff should be free.
drdre74 @ Oct 6th 2008 4:19PM
lol this DLC stuff is getting out of hand these days. They are milking this stuff like crazy and charging way too much for something that they should have in the game.
motorer @ Oct 6th 2008 7:22PM
seriously.....fuck this shit. fuck capcom and every other game publisher for trying to make us pay for shit that should be included with the original game.
Radewagon @ Oct 6th 2008 7:45PM
How to turn a 10 dollar game into an almost 20 dollar game? Easy, make something as simple as a difficulty level into DLC. Thanks for ruining all of the good will that I sent your way after Bionic Commando, Capcom. And remember.... nothing says retro throwback like hidden digital download costs for "enhancements" that should have been there in the first place.
Ramses @ Oct 6th 2008 7:19PM
eh, i'll wait till Capcom makes a value pack of all the stuff for like 5 bucks.
Josh @ Oct 6th 2008 7:54PM
Haha, all of you, every single one of you so far, are insane.
PSN: Erdie @ Oct 6th 2008 8:36PM
Paying for changed enemy distribution? That's just asinine. I have no problem supporting a game/developer that I enjoy, but I still expect a little something in return.
Paulmichael @ Oct 6th 2008 9:22PM
Haha so there's no story for Proto Man, it's simply a sprite swap and the added shield ability. Apparently this Proto Man is a fan service. Not being a fan of this particular series, I wouldn't know.
Wild @ Oct 7th 2008 3:34AM
Personally I think the whole thing is a pile of crap as well (not the game, but making you pay for DLC), I was surfing youtube though and found this vid of a guy who doesn't seem to care that he has to pay for it, he's just pleased that he gets to play as protoman! lol

I guess it just shows that maybe we have all lost a little bit of the little kid in us :P For this guy the awesome seems to outweight the price ^^ made me feel a bitter better and I generally "lightened up" about the whole thing!

LoL, and i bet the majority of you still buy the dlc even after you've moaned about it, its not like people didnt know this would happen as ps3fanboy already told us about the proto man not being free, you cant have it both ways, if nobody payed for it then capcom would maybe think twice next time but each time you line there wallets they will just keep on doing it
