GameStop LBP pre-orders also get God of War level pack

According to a new GameStop commercial uploaded to Youtube, gamers who pre-order LittleBigPlanet from GameStop will not only get Kratos sackboy, but also Medusa and Minotaur costumes along with a unique God of War map pack. It sounds like the map pack means not just a brand new level to play, but special tools and items for you use in your own creations.

So "power to the players," people; take that slogan to mean "feel free to bother your local store clerk" for hours on end to give you those additional voucher codes. Check out the commercial embedded after the cut.

Awesome! I got in the beta, this game is amazing!! Can't wait for the 3 costumes and special tools. This is gonna be sweet. And hey, for once, Gamestop isn't sucking. That's a first =]

I know right...Gamestop blows but they keep getting the cool bundles and preorders. Got my MGS4 limited edition with art book there, now this. Guess I gotta go preorder.

Hmm, is this retro-active, because I already pre-ordered from there and received my promotion code, but it doesn't mention these additional features. I'm guessing I lost out on this one?

My bet is that they will make the code you already have on your voucher download a pack with all three costumes instead of giving out additional vouchers for each individual costume. Makes much more economic sense for them that way.

Yeah I saw this at EB-Games here in NZ too. They say that you'll get free "God Of War in-game costumes" when you pre-order. And considering that The Gamesman here is owned by EB-Games, and they're offering up the Kratos Sackboy, I guess you get both here too. :)

Pretty good considering that when you pre-order most games, you get nothing, or you have to pay for anything extra!

When I pre-ordered mine at gamestop I forgot about the voucher. I called when I got home, and they said they were already out.
Anyone know if I can cancel that pre-order and pre-order it from another gamestop if I can find one that still has vouchers?

I preordered it from a Gamestop that ran out of the promo codes. They said I could get one from another Gamestop if they had any left. All I needed was the receipt and my story. So I did and I got my code no problem.

If you live in Canada, Future Shop has a lot of codes if you pre-order. The cool thing is is that you can also get the official LittleBigPlanet case along with your code! (I don't know if this applies to everyone who pre-orders). The game case is actually sitting on top of my desk.

you'll get any extra stuff that comes out as long as you have a pre-order on it. no need to go to gamestop to get the codes, they aren't available yet.

Still going with Amazon. I can't bring myself to preorder anything from Gamestop. Gamestop is the Walmart of the gaming world.

Anyways, what's a costume in a game this large where items can be gotten in user levels. There are going to be TONS of knockoffs within weeks to collect in user levels making these costume/exclusive levels obsolete.

I also pre-ordered from Amazon. I'm getting it the day of in the mail with their excellent shipping. GameStop is garbage. I can't understand a developer supporting them when they steal their sales with used games.

It might be worth seeing if your local game stores are running a similar promotion, because the game stores here (New Zealand - ages away from the USA) are offering this exact same deal. Probably worth a go, no?

No, honestly, were you just saying that they might be separate codes, or did you actually hear that somewhere? Why the hell would they be making new codes? It was difficult enough for me to get ahold of the main one for Kratos. But couldn't they just put that stuff on the same codes?

The one with playstation offical magazine here in the uk has the kratos thing as you probably know, but it does say on the back "Kratos gamepack" so maybe that is included with it.

Well eitherway i hope they release these tools later on in as free DLC on the store.

I'm a manager for GameStop and I can confirm that the codes all of you have received thus far ARE, in fact, retroactive. There are no additional codes for any GameStops to give out. The one code gives you everything.

Lol. We knew about this awhile ago. They told us at our Manager's Conference in Vegas. Never send the tip in because I thought everyone knew. :P
