Shoot, I'd buy it for the cover.

Looks really nice, the hot chick and all :D
I have a question tho. Is this game hard? I was told by a friend who imported portable 2 that the game's hard as hell and as such, barely enjoyable for casual players.

It depends on your skill with rhythm games. If you find Stepmania hard...then yes, you'll most likely find DJMax to be hard. But fret not! You can import DJMax Clazziquai edition that's coming out soon ( import from PlayAsia ) which has a 2 button mode.

Try the demo for yourself, and see if it's too hard:

(hopefully it's still there)

Well yeah... it's a lot harder than, say, DDR or PIU... even on "easy" mode, but it's still manageable. Guess it's aimed for more hardcore audiences, tho.

i've heard that the game has become a less hard for the states. but it's still going to be hard probably.

Having played both DJ Max Portable 1 and 2 I can say that it is a tough game. However there are enough songs and levels of difficulty that you don't have to be able to 100% an 8 button song on 5x speed to enjoy it. It is definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of rhythm games.

I agree. I just wish November would come faster. I only played DJ max 2 and it was really fun.
