"t-shirt (Male XL only)"
Hard to beat those gaming stereotypes, eh?
leatherface @ Oct 7th 2008 3:04PM

# $99.99 for the Guitar Kit (which includes the game and guitars)
I already know the answer to this, but you couldn't possibly mean that it comes with 2 guitars?
kevin @ Oct 7th 2008 3:23PM
one only.
and thats redicoulous i wear medium not xl wow...and that is not worth that much
Alan Tsang @ Oct 7th 2008 3:43PM
Yes, one only. Thanks for pointing it out.
Gaucho @ Oct 7th 2008 3:14PM
Yeah, let me just prod my brain with scissors through my nose and inject morphine into my balls. . . there we go, now for the remaining equally logical decision, buying that premium package.
Hashbrown Hunter @ Oct 7th 2008 4:14PM
umm....what?
Sky Shark X2 @ Oct 7th 2008 4:03PM
Is that the Activision cashing in on the blockheaded sterotypical "gamers" train I hear coming down the tracks. Seriously fail Activision, epic fail.
Todd @ Oct 7th 2008 4:09PM
The game itself should only be $15, because all the good songs that are on there, save maybe Dammit and One Armed Scissor, are already on Rock Band 2. And you know that all the smart people are going to buy Rock Band 2 before they buy this.
nakedatthecomp @ Oct 7th 2008 5:36PM
amen to that.
lego91994 @ Oct 8th 2008 8:41AM
Crazy Train, Mr Crowley, Purple Haze, Wind Cries Mary, Santeria, Rebel Yell, Hotel California, Hot For Teacher.... just to name a few.
I think the price of the game is justified well, and I'll be picking up both games.
Christian @ Oct 8th 2008 10:26AM
Considering how Rock Band are shafting European PS3 owners with a delayed release (Rock band just came out and Rock Band2 who knows when will come out), I think smart people get GHWT and support the company that supports their platform in a decent way.
Rae @ Oct 7th 2008 4:33PM
Todd...
Wow. smart people? Let's see.
Rock Band 2, is Rock Band 1...with new songs.
Guitar Hero has a more sound drum peripheral, and a far superior guitar (built better, and the touch pad idea is great).
Also, with the ability to make your own songs (through your computer as well, with the MIDI sequencer) lots of replay value and creative options are added. Hmmm...A carbon copy of the previous version...or something new?
Yeah, all the SMART people are going to buy Rock Band 2. If only we could hear sarcasm through the internet.
adamantypants @ Oct 7th 2008 4:40PM
And GH:WT is literally, in every way, built upon the foundation that the developers of Rock Band created.
Not to mention that just because there's a 2 attached to Rock Band, it doesn't mean they haven't changed their peripherals. Much more solid drum kits and a redesigned guitar are included.
And the 60+ songs I downloaded for RB1 are going to be in my RB2. And the 50+ from the original disc will be there as well.
nakedatthecomp @ Oct 7th 2008 5:49PM
I totally agree with adamantypants; Rock Band 1 blew Guitar Hero out of the water by adding drums and a mic - now Guitar Hero is just playing catch up (and still can't bring any of its songs from previous discs into it) by copying Rock Band a year later with a cheesy make-a-song feature that most doubt will work well.
RavenPaul @ Oct 7th 2008 6:17PM
The drums look rediculious, especially the "cymbols". I like the vocals best so it's no contest, RB 2 for me with FAR superior DLC. Not even a contest. I will get GHWT game only someday for a few new songs to sing, but only used at a very cheap price
lego91994 @ Oct 8th 2008 8:50AM
For all you people saying it is just copying Rock Band, if people weren't using others ideas this genre wouldn't even be popular. The original GH copied Konamis Guitar Freaks.
Do you only buy 1 FPS or racing game? It is very silly to pick sides of certain games, especially since all instruments are compatible now.
ItchyBarracuda @ Oct 7th 2008 4:40PM
......Jeez, for what this costs you could probably buy the real instruments and learn how to actually play music
Vcize @ Oct 7th 2008 6:24PM
And have 200% less fun while doing it! Yay!
BBCorps @ Oct 7th 2008 7:49PM
Rockband actually convinced me to pick up my old guitar again and relearn to play. It's far more addicting and satisfying than RB, but I still like to play RB with my friends. I love to sing but I sing so poorly lol
ExMcCloud @ Oct 7th 2008 4:57PM
Wow thats expensive....And I got to many other games to buy....No GH for me
Philip @ Oct 7th 2008 5:12PM
don't get those rechargeable batteries, i broke my battery cover trying to take those out
Jerses @ Oct 7th 2008 5:27PM
$240!!!!!! expensive... with that you can buy 4 games; LBP,Bioshock,Resistance and socom with headset...
spyyder @ Oct 8th 2008 10:01AM
Activision knows gamers are idiots and they will pay for this crap. This is epitome of shovelware.
iamkid @ Oct 7th 2008 6:03PM
oh thank the lord. i thought you meant 240 for whats in the full band pack. DONT SCARE ME LIKE THAT PS3FB
xiolin @ Nov 10th 2008 11:05AM
so to be clear...does the GHIII guitar work with GHIV?
spyyder @ Oct 8th 2008 9:59AM
Are you guys really paying this much for a bunch of plastic toys? No wonder the economy is in the crapper, you need to take a second mortgage to pay for these products. On top of that you need a $200+ console. You guys really have no sense of value. Consumer whores, the lot of you. Keep loading up those credit cards citizen, America needs you!
