TGS 08: Undead Knights will do you right
It may seem like Sony's PSP is dying, but Tecmo suggests that is actually undying. They recently unveiled Undead Knights -- and now, there's a trailer. The game will mix action, strategy and ... zombies. Starring as an anti-hero, you'll have to add a legion of zombies under your control. With the stinking stench of the undead at your disposal, you'll be able to conquer your enemies.
Four player ad-hoc multiplayer (including co-op) is planned. But, don't expect this too soon -- this one is definitely a late 2009 release.

Sounds like a really interesting premise for a game! I'm digging the art style in the preview as well... Can't wait to hear more about this in the coming months!

This might have been a cool game, but I hate zombies and all zombie-related things (besides Shaun of the Dead) so... I'll have to pass.
Hreidmar @ Oct 10th 2008 1:18PM
Don't take this personally.... but there is something wrong with you.

Great week for the PSP
Darlaten @ Oct 9th 2008 10:38PM
Yes, it sure is a great week for the PSP...at least if you live in Japan. Be nice if some of these announcements would indicate, emphatically, that North America is not forgotten.
pixelator @ Oct 10th 2008 12:29PM
That's a tall order. As good as some of these upcoming and recent JP titles are, and despite a few bones being thrown our way here in the States, 2008 has been a truly frustrating year to be a PSP Fanboy.
Seriously, not since the Dreamcast have I been so totally infuriated by the abandonment of a perfectly viable and popular system. The inexplicable part is, this is STILL the best selling system Sony has, even in the all-but-abandoned USA market.
My only hope is that I've heard they're looking for someone to spearhead USA marketing. Maybe they can get someone in there quickly who sees the PSP potential before it really is too late, if not already. Unfortunately, corporates usually hire marketing 'experts' who have nice looking diplomas and graph making skills but with very little to no actual game industry knowledge.

It looks that it's one of the few games coming for psp that isn't released also for mobile phones like 3rd Birthday, FF Agito 13, Ushiro and Danbol Seki, isn't a port from ps2 like Warriors Orochi 2, Zill'O Infinite and some other games, isn't created with low budget like Locoroco 2 or Patapon 2. It's not that I have anything againts games I mentioned, well maybe Danbol Seki, but It's good to see a game that is psp only and seems to be AAA. It almost makes me think that psp won't change into ps3 accessory from lack of new games.
Mikhail @ Oct 11th 2008 9:47PM
I'm pretty sure Ushiro was created specifically for the PSP not mobile phones. Another thing is that even though Patapon 2 and Locoroco 2 appear to be created with a low budget they also look to be AAA games as well.
Nezrou @ Oct 12th 2008 3:18AM
Mikhail, I just assumed that Ushiro was developed not primarly for psp, since that was the case with Square-Enix games, I return the title of true psp supporter to Level-5 then. About Patapon 2 and Locoroco 2, I haven't written that they aren't AAA, just that they have low budget. Making AAA game with low budget is possible, but I meant that these games show that making a game for psp is like walking on thin ice for developers and I don't like that thought.

This looks like a cool trailer from Tecmo. I can't wait to play it. Plus on a side note what kind of cross over games Tecmo and Koei and make together.
