Want LBP levels to stick around post-beta? Vote!

The fate of countless hours of work are in your hands today. Originally, the plan was for Sony to scrap all of LittleBigPlanet's beta levels and start from scratch when the game releases in a few weeks. Now it seems that they're willing to keep them up, but only if people want that. You can vote for whichever outcome you'd prefer at the official European PlayStation Forums. Simply click "vote" near the top of the LittleBigPlanet forum. There's a chance this is only open to those with a European PSN account, despite the outcome taking effect globally.

The majority of people (84% at the time of writing) seem to be in favor of keeping the content up and we tend to agree. Ignoring, for the moment, the amount of man hours already put in to creating all the content that's available right now, it seems strange to want to launch the game with a clean slate. People will only go and try to recreate their levels again, so why bother? Hopefully with the improved rating system in the final build it'll be easier to discriminate the wheat from the chaff.

[UPDATE] US folks can vote at the official LittleBigPlanet blog. Thanks, The_Icon!
