Age of Booty delayed to November, Trophy patch reconfirmed

One of the games absent from today's PSN update was Age of Booty, Capcom's pirate-themed multiplayer strategy game. Although already available on XBLA, it appears the game has been delayed to November on PS3. Capcom's blog updates: "We want to ensure the online experience for PSN users is as smooth, fun, and addicting. We also want to ensure all those who dive into the map editor and generate new content for the Age of Booty community have a great time sharing their maps with friends. As a result, we had a little more work to do."

Although already on our Trophy Portal, the fine folks at Capcom have re-confirmed their Trophy efforts. The PSN collectibles will be available as a post-release patch "within the first couple of months" of the game's now-delayed release.

Shame, it is a fun small game to play

Although i think most PS3 owner will be playing LBP

Soooooo it gets delayed and it still won't have Trophies on the release day, but with in a couple of months... must be because their working hard on SSIITHDR... Thanks Capcom!

I actually saved up to make sure I didn't overspend on all the great ps3 games coming out just for this game =/

I'm pretty disapointed that I won't be getting any booty til next month

I'm also disappointed it is delayed, but I'd rather they delay it and get it right than be annoyed by some programming oversight. I've played too many games ruined by something that could have easily been fixed with a few more weeks of work, but from what I keep seeing, developers are held to a schedule and have to put out unfinished products often. That's one thing I love about the PSN network: developers (and we can thank SOE's oversight, too) usually don't put something out until it's ready. Isn't that what makes Blizzard's games so great? I'm glad that philosophy is starting to become feasible for smaller developers that don't have the luxury of time afforded by Blizzard's deep pockets. Keep releasing great, *finished* games on the PSN network!

I am disappointed it got delayed, but I prefer Capcom taking the time to get it right on release than have a repeat of the Civilisation Revolution fiasco, where after four months Sid Meier still haven't managed to fix his buggy game (although they claim to have sent a patch to Sony this week).
