American PSN Store update for October 16th
Check out that headline. Finally PSP owners have graduated from the "better than nothing" PC Store to the ultra-sexy direct PSP Store. Content updates don't seem to have substantially improved for either region (Europe saw no new PSP content yet again, this week), but Rome wasn't built in a day. American PSP owners will be able to grab two new UMD Legacy titles, a PS1 game and a demo. If you're interested in funny games that didn't sell well enough, Dead Head Fred is your best bet for this week. Here's the full list:
- Dead Head Fred full PSP game ($14.99)
- PQ2: Practical Intelligence Quotient full PSP game ($14.99)
- Sno-Cross Championship Racing PS1 game ($5.99)
- Lego Batman demo (free)

Dead Head Fred is something that needs to be purchased at that ludicrous price. There is no real excuse not to (unless you really hate the concept of the game, or own it already as I do :-P).

Dead Head Fred is a great and under-apreciated game. I am playing it right now and still tempted to download it.. if only for the shorter load times (they aren't terrible, but can be somwhat frequent if you are trying to move quicly through teh game world)

Dead Head Fred is a great game. I'm glad to see it get a well-deserved second life on PSN.

Wow, a page of PSP news in a day. Awesome!

Sno Cross was so much fun back in the day! Yay Sony!

What is this? £ or 4 weeks with no update in Europe?
Well no loss... The games were overpriced, the payment system unfair and my PSP hasn't made it into my bag for about as long.
Right now I'm showing as much interest in the PSP as Sony is showing in European customers.

Oh, no kidding! I almost bought Dead Head Fred the other day for twenty. Score!

It's still on the shelf at my local FutureShop for 55$.
....And yes, it is a great game, but the combat system SUCKS. And since the game is one of those 'walk around and beat up enemies' games, this can lead to anger towards the game's designers.
Seriously. Who among us thinks that the standard "punch someone until their health is zero" method of defeating enemies is dull? Who prefers the God of War style of "you can't beat anyone until you press the right string of buttons" method of gameplay?
And yet despite the utterly crappy combat, it's still a great game. It boggles the mind.

if they're looking for psp classics to put on the store than add SF: Dark Mirror for one, then maybe Killzone (complete with patch), Fireteam Bravo 1 and Tactical Strike.....SWB: RS......on I go
David Black @ Oct 17th 2008 11:47AM
SF: Dark Mirror is already on the PS store.
TM @ Oct 17th 2008 9:21PM

smi04 @ Oct 17th 2008 9:15AM
What the hell is going on with the Europe store =/
Scarpad @ Oct 17th 2008 10:46AM
I'd actually be interested in DL full games if the prices were'nt so unbelievebly high, I've seen DHF new in the store for $10, being there's no media involved the prices need to be lower, this is UMD Movies all over again.

Bushido Blade?
