Resistance 2 beta access codes going out now

Well, this is a pleasant surprise. After having just arrived home after a long-haul flight, what does this blogger happen to find inside his e-mail inbox? Resistance 2 beta access codes, that's what. Yes, it looks like the public beta is finally set up for business and at least is ready for download.

Whether you've pre-order, signed up, or did something illegal to get into the beta, you'll find that your access codes are on the way at this very moment -- so keep checking those e-mails. The 2.2GB beta can be downloaded off the PS Store (do so by testing out that new "redeem codes" button next to "view downloads"). We haven't actually finished downloading it yet, so we're not sure if it's ready to play.

True with that. Went to a RFOM2 launch in Sydney tonight with the CEO of Insomniac (what a moment) and they said they would be coming out sometime Monday. Waiting for that code too...

Remember if you just got Qore episode 3 you won't get in until later (my guess next week). Qore subscribers are supposed to get in before, which I am one of, but no word yet on when that is.

The only thing that ever got raped was Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. (South Park anyone?).

Anyway

I think this game will be much better than either of those. Mostly because I love the story, the fact that the character has a reason to heal... and his arms are not as big as a train.

LMAO, dont sleep on COD: WaW. Its gonna do big numbers. The Beta itself is really fun and good, plus 4-player co-op for the campaign. R2 will be good no doubt but its not in the same ballpark as any COD game popular wise. Is R2 even getting the midnight launch treatment? I dont think too many people outside of the blogosphere are really hyped for it. Just sayin...

Just called my local Game Stop...
You get a Beta Code by reserving your game with a pre-purchase. Minimum pre-purchase is $5. I am heading by there on my way home from work today to get my Beta CODE!!!
Also, if you already pre-purchased a copy from Game Stop, just swing by there and pickup your code anytime.

Actually, it's not the Beta code, but a registration code for the Beta. I just got it yesterday, went to pickup SOCOM w/headset and pre-order it while I was there.
Eh, I just registered last night, and having got it yet, not like I was expecting too..

So the code you get pre-ordering the game doesnt give you the Beta, but instead just gets you registered for the Beta?

Yeah, it gets you registered, but you are sure to get the Beta code in your email you register. Also, the voucher I got says: Redeem by 10/22/08. I think that might be the day the beta will start, don't quote me on that though.

DUDE!!! IT WORKED!!!
I dropped into Game Stop, reserved my copy, got a Resistance 2 Beta Card with a scratch off code, followed the instructions online, and then registered the code I got online in my profile on the PS3.
As soon as I did, it brought up the download link for my 2211MB copy of Resistance 2 Public Beta!!!!
WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!
