WRUP: What are you playing?

Tokyo Game Show was so boring this year (except for this), we couldn't wait to go back home and play some Western games. With PS3 flooded with new games for the next few weeks, WRUP is going to get pretty disastrous on our wallets.

Andrew Yoon - Where do I begin? I have Dead Space, Rock Band 2, BioShock, LittleBigPlanet, Alone in the Dark, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, and Resistance 2 to play. Outside world, I bid you adieu.
Jem Alexander - Dead Space, Rock Band 2 and BioShock are currently sitting next to my PS3. The problem is, that's 300 miles away. I'll be gorging on all three (most likely in that order) once I'm reunited with my black monolith on Sunday. Until then, I'll keep playing Final Fantasy Tactics A2 which, while incredibly long, has yet to get boring.
Majed Athab - I want to grab Dead Space ... but I'm going to wait a bit. I'll see what the other guys think of it before eventually getting it. Anyway, I'll be playing LittleBigPlanet, the R2 beta and Rock Band 2 on PS3 this weekend. I'm also going to download one of my all-time favorite games, Secret of Mana, off the Wii's VC. Incidentally, I recently bought the soundtrack for that game!
Alan Tsang - I am playing LittleBigPlanet. 'Nuff said.

I was going to play the Resistance 2 beta but I hear it's been pushed back for fears of offending Scientologists. What, with the evil alien overlords and all.

LBP was also delayed because of religion. I'm mad but mostly thankful because I have a week's worth of grace before chucking out another $6. There's also a lot of great games coming out next Tuesday:

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Far Cry 2 (PC, maybe?)
BioShock (I saw the BioShock 2 trailer on the internet and I think it may be the prequel of the formation of Rapture and how it came to be before Jack came)

Oh, and I'll be playing Dead Space and Saints Row 2.

It's okay, I'm a trophy whore also. I'll be playing Uncharted on Crushing and getting the platinum trophy this weekend. Yes, I will get it! That is my goal for the weekend.

You might want to get Saints Row 2. I've been addicted to that for the past week. I really like GTA4 for it's technical superiority but SR2 is more like a Vice City or a San Andreas: tons of fun and interesting things to do and cool rewards for every other mission and activity you do.

Really, I was very pleasantly surprised.

I might try it soon - but I've got quite a backlog - GTA4 took up so much time - I only game about 10 hours a week max. I've got a sister in law that will be getting it, so I might borrow it for a week or so to decide.

Still have Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, Burnout Paradise sitting on my shelf unplayed. It's killing me to see Uncharted sitting there, but I picked it up right before the trophy patch and haven't tried it yet. And Little Big Planet coming too...

I have the same kind of time constraints on my gaming but (as a GTA fanboy mind you) I would recommend Saints Row2 over those other (very good) games you mentioned.
And I usually hate GTA clones, this one just happened to capture all the things that makes them fun.

Majed - if you like aliens, event horizon and or the thing. you must get dead space. even if you only like aliens or one of the three prementioned.

or if you like deus ex/system shock, doom, soldier of fortune, or duke nukem you should try out Dead Space... it's really wicked some pretty critical people must've given it a bad score but I don't understand why, I've looked it over for graphical glitches and clipping 'n things and it looks pretty damned solid!

how about the part where the ceiling is leaking.. the water dripping down, bouncing off your character.. little stuff like that and big stuff as well makes the game pretty enjoyable

DEAD SPACE! This game is AWESOME! I just got past the first two acts, and so far it lives up to all of my expectations! :) Still want to play: The Force Unleashed, Silent Hill: Homecoming, Saints Row 2, LBP, Resistance 2, etc, etc, ETC! So many games right now, so little time! What to do?

I'm on Chapter 3 of Dead Space and loving it so far (boot squish times five!). I have Battlefield: BC coming from Gamefly, but it probably won't come until Monday.

Hey i know this has nothing to do with the topic but i wanted to know if this was a good choice....

So Yesterday I traded in a few games and got enough money for 3 games im wondering if it was worth it.

I traded in: Condemed 2- got 13 for it bought it for 20
Darksector- got 10 for it bought it for 20
DBZ burst limit-got it day one never really played it got 22 for it
GTA4- big disapointment for me got 20 for it
haze- it was fun for a week got 12 for it
heavnlysword- got 20 for it
hotshots OOB- 22
lair-10
motorstorm-30 bucks!! i know crazy right lol
sega tennis- 5 bucks

I never really played any of those after i beat them. The only one or two i regret was hotshots and gta 4 but once again i never really played gta4 that much after i beat it and multiplayer was horrible.

I still have Mgs4,socom,cod4,deadspace,ninjagaiden sigma, rockband and time crysis//// and am thinking about selling skate,soul calibur 4, uncharted and rachet and clank

since i will have enough for like 4-5 games what should i get..... i already have fallout reserved and want rockband 2,LBP,Resistance 2 if its good (i didnt like the first at all) the new 007 , mirrors edge,the new cod and skate 2. then ill worry about res evil and killzone streetfighter OMFG SO MANY GAMES!!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget to exercise your inner trophy whore before trading in or selling Uncharted. Or just keep it, it's one of the best games out there for any system and nothing has trumped it yet.

I don't know what's scarier; Dead Space's environments and sounds, or Star Wars: TFU's horrible force-shielded enemies and bad controls. *shudder*

I'll find out more this weekend, as well as dig into some Pure. Also, just bought Warhawk! Need some people to train this n00b. PSN= jorojoserojas

I'm currently playing Little Big Planet and Fable 2.

i prefer the former, but the latter isn't bad. it's just like the first, but in HD (although, honestly, the graphics aren't really that impressive; i'm playing it on a 40" 720p Samsung).

Little Big Planet, on the other hand, is fricking PHENOMENAL.

it and MGS4 are my top choices for Game of the Year 2008, hands down.
