New Dissidia vid shows off some summons
Summon creatures appear upon pressing the R trigger together with the circle button. In the case of Ifrit, summons appear as equipable items (as represented on the HUD). Judging by the way they're used in the trailer, the summons primarily affect the Brave gauge -- Carbuncle adjusts the enemy's Brave to match the player's, while boosts a player's Brave by 1.5.

GREEAAATTT!!! Imagine a Final Fantasy tittle without summons... No way. Lame it's 2D sprites :( (we can´t win them all) but I'm glad there will be summons(who doesn't?). I wanna have Dissidia on my hands now!!!

Looks awesome! Now hopefully they'll remedy the PSP-3000s scanline and interlacing problems so it can look it's best when I play this. Wishful thinking I'm sure....

i think they got the 2d sprite idea from how they did summons in final fantasy tactics (my fav one!)

I have to admit that I'm not impressed. I understand that this is a fighting game, but why not have real animations for the summons? Just figured it might be better to have the summon do the work than to just have an attack based on that summon.

Uh, OK. Looks OK, but 2D illustrations over 3D fighting looks kind of... cheap. *sigh* Oh well.

It does look cheap IMO. But I guess it's OK. Long cutscenes would just break the game's pace.

This game looks extremely boring to me...its kinda like Powerstone, only the levels are drab, and the fighting requires way too much chasing...
Are people really excited about this? It looks like a total waste of money. Common guys, i know we're getting desperate for games, but this is just sad...
