OMG at MotorStorm Pacific Rift commercial

Does it get any more EXTREME than this? A new PlayStation.blog post reveals the upcoming one minute ad for MotorStorm Pacific Rift -- and it involves people riding ATVs ... out of planes. The small text at the bottom warns you: "Do Not Attempt." We agree.

No, this game should be pushed back! If you hear the lyrics in the background it goes, "Daah dia dahh, dilaa daahhh dia dahhh!" which in Irish is; "Pee on America, spray some pee on America!' Horrible! RECALL!

Now they seriously need to maximise more of their time on advertisements. Do they think they're going to get more profit by not showing consumers the PS3 and its capabilities? The ability to play games as well as a future-proof media format (Blu-ray) is pure win. When was the last time you saw a PS3 commercial?

i saw a resistance 2 commercial today, forgot what channel it was, i think it was on showtime or hbo... wasnt paying attention to what was on tv, but suddenly i saw taht 300 ft monster and bunch of live actors saying resist.

Wouldn't it be cool if you started a level out of a plane like that? Wouldn't it be even cooler if you dropped out of a plane and landed on boat? Then you could drive the boat to the shore and start the race.

That would really cool. (at least I think so)

I also like how I haven't seen a single LBP ad yet. Weren't they planning a huge ad campaign for that game?

I think their advertising focus is going to be towards the holiday season....not for launch.

true, the only lbp ad is a gamestop preorder and get cratos.

I downloaded the demo just to jump off the plane LOL ( this ad was like 2 days old).

Dunno what you are watching but I have seen a TON of LBP commercials in the last few days. Maybe about 10 times total. More than any other game (except maybe Dead Space).

Both the Gamestop Kratos one and 'what is fun', versions.

Cartoon network, Comedy Central, Fox and E is mostly what I have had on.

I first heard their music in the movie Wristcutters and I thought the music was just made for the movie since the singer was actually a character in the movie and the character talked about writing the music.

After I saw this commercial a week or so ago, I recognized it immediately and got on google to find out where the music from Wristcutters came from and it turns out they have several albums. I was pretty pumped because they reminded me of an Easter European accented version of another band I love, Mischief Brew.

finally a commercial that doesn't give me nightmares! Ok Sony, keep them coming.

but i thought the demo was a tad disappointing graphically... i've heard it's from an old build but sincerely, i doubt it, and it looks specially ugly after playing Pure's demo a few weeks before, it simply blows away Motorstorm demo in level of detail and crispness.
