David Hasselhoff to star in PAIN expansion pack
We're not kidding folks. David Hasselhoff (of Baywatch, Knight Rider fame) will be a playable character in the upcoming PAIN expansion, PEOPLE.com discovered. "The idea of 'hurting The Hoff' or 'hassling The Hoff' was just hysterical to me," Hasselhoff, 56, tells PEOPLE. "I don't know why, I think it was from growing up watching the Three Stooges and the idea of hurting yourself was funny to me."Not only will you be able to throw Hasselhoff around, you'll be able to listen to his cover of the classic song "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" Seriously.
PAIN Movie Studio will be available in November. Watch a brand new video trailer at PEOPLE.com.
[Thanks, Jason B.!]

Nice, but we NEED a bush character, and both presidential candidates ASAP.

Brothers, this is the day we have been waiting for! Now is our time! We must rise up. Rise up and dance!

Will the 'Hoff himself provide a VoiceOver? That would be fantastic. The next PAIN character should be William Shatner, aka Captain James T. Kirk himself, 'cause we all know how awesome he is.

i was thinking vader...
Dartmerc @ Oct 23rd 2008 1:33AM
meh at Vader.. we're getting into real cultural references here.
flynn110 @ Oct 22nd 2008 7:51PM
i liked him better wasted, struggling to eat a hamburger, on the floor, while his daughter preached to him.
Dartmerc @ Oct 23rd 2008 1:33AM
That was a big hamburger, I don't know how anyone could be expected to eat that without losing it all over the carpet.

God, I would love to destroy that yellow turd...

His daughter comes here to the University of Arizona, and he has season tickets to Arizona football games. Whenever he comes into the stadium, the crowd breaks into Hasselhoff chants. It's quite disturbing really.

I'm sure there will be a "Who should be in PAIN next?" posting.
I'm thinking Paris Hilton or Pam Anderson.
Oh, Paris might want to sing a song, too - better not.
The Alex @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:45PM
I will pay for this!
Now if only we could get some of his Baywatch alumni to join... I vote for Carmen Electra or Pam Anderson!
bkalasin @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:51PM
His daughter actually comes here to the University of Arizona, and he has season tickets to Arizona football games. Whenever he comes into the stadium everyone breaks into chants of Hass-el-hoff! It's quite disturbing really.

I have Pain and the expansion, but I have never seen the point of buying extra characters...
Until now...
I'm buying this. Sony has finally found a way of getting me to pay for Pain characters.
Emily24 @ Oct 23rd 2008 12:38AM
I wonder how much the Movie Expansion will cost? $5.99 + $0.99 for the HOFF?
Boy, PAIN is getting expensive....
Emily24 @ Oct 23rd 2008 1:18AM
Scratch that, just checked the PAIN forums and The Hoff will be a PREMIUM character. Meaning he will cost more than the typical $.99.
I'm guessing he will cost $2 :(
Jonathan @ Oct 23rd 2008 3:11AM
2 DOLLARS!?!??! That's insane, how do the Pain developers think we can come up with that much money? Man, I'm gonna have to save up for a couple of months now if I'm going to be able to afford this.
farfisa @ Oct 23rd 2008 8:16AM
The more he refers to himself as 'The Hoff,' the more $2 sounds worth it!
rgoff31 @ Oct 23rd 2008 10:47AM
So Awesome. There better be a shirtless version!
foolkiller79 @ Oct 23rd 2008 4:59PM
To answer questions in the comments that have been answered on the Pain site.
He is a premium character - $1.99.
He has three outfits, Knight Rider, Baywatch, and a tux - which is what defines premium characters (take that for what you will).
He did his own voiceovers, and each outfit has its own set.
Also, the producer, Travis Williams, said he tried to get political figures but Sony shot that down.
