Help SackBoy and LittleBigPlanet make Pluto a real planet again
This political season, take action for a cause you believe in. That's right: help Pluto become a planet again! You see, when we were your age, Pluto used to be a planet. But now, this little not-so-big planet has been downgraded to the status of a "dwarf planet." For denizens of other small-ish planets, this is an outrage. Discrimination!
Thankfully, you can take action. Visit Proposition Pluto to find out more about the cause. Do your part and spread the word!

lorddshadow @ Oct 22nd 2008 8:38PM

Marius @ Oct 22nd 2008 8:39PM
Ahhh this made my day....lol
tim13344 @ Oct 22nd 2008 8:41PM
dang never mind got there too late....second is always good too
Muhammad-Oli @ Oct 22nd 2008 8:53PM
Yeah but third is downright shameful.
Mazrael @ Oct 22nd 2008 8:54PM
Sack Boy for President!
Of course Pluto is a planet.. then it has a moon called Charon.. half it's size.. so whether it count's as a moon, or a twin planet I'm not sure.. but, they should just keep changing stuff.. those scientists come out with some crap... next thing you know, potatoes are bad for you, Dinosaurs were domesticated by man and had saddles & the year is only 5000 years old.. pft, idiots..
PSN: John-Paul-Jones @ Oct 22nd 2008 10:39PM
You're calling scientists idiots? Really now? Hey man, don't get mad at them just because you love hiding under a rock and refuse to see new scientific advancements and breakthroughs.
indigit4l @ Oct 23rd 2008 11:07AM
It's a large chunk of frozen ice that's been under scrutiny long before it was rightfully removed from the list of planets in our solar system.
handyj443 @ Oct 23rd 2008 9:56AM
The fact that we know Pluto even exists is quite an impressive scientific feat, considering it's just a small dot in the sky. Deciding whether or not it's a planet isn't science, it's just stamp collecting.
Mazrael @ Oct 24th 2008 9:01AM
now what is good.. they found planets in other star systems.. some which are much bigger than us.. now Earth should be re classified as a dwarf planet.., or should they be giant planet..
Maybe I'm just old, when it comes to Pluto..
Deadpool @ Oct 23rd 2008 6:08PM
Gee....and the goverment gives people money to research this kinda stuff? I got a C in elementry school over this stupid debate because these idiots couldn't make up there minds! Now look at me...I'm one of those guys that complain in blogs! Blogs!!!
Pablos102030 @ Oct 23rd 2008 12:23AM
You were in elementary school in 06?
Deadpool @ Oct 23rd 2008 6:07PM
It's a long story.
But to make a long story short watch the movie "Billy Madison".
LittleBigFan @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:06PM
How did you find this, nothing is up on the lbp or mm sites
The_Punisher (MR ESC NOOOOO) @ Oct 22nd 2008 8:51PM

what about planet X then its a bigger body
Johnny Lasley @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:15PM
If Pluto is a planet, other Kuiper Belt objects are too. So what if they are more like comets. They're born that way. They can't help. Vote SackBoy this November!
Jeff @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:04PM
I say screw pluto, its hard enough we have to remember 8 planets
SimonHL @ Oct 23rd 2008 5:09AM
But pluto is the easiest one to remember! I say keep pluto, but forget about uranus. We've seen enough stupid jokes about that planet by now.
Wayne @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:07PM
Save that LittleBigPlanet we call Pluto!
j.howlett @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:07PM
i thought it was bull that they wanted it out because of size in the first place. other planets have moons larger than earth
PSN: johnnynumber5 @ Oct 22nd 2008 11:27PM
Obviously you didn't get the memo. The Earth is not just a mere planet! It's the CENTER of the Universe!
NikkiNiel @ Oct 23rd 2008 4:16AM
Not in our solar system, might be so in others though.
Woz @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:08PM
I say leave it as a planet. It does have the best name of them all....ok, second best name. Uranus would be number one.
Jed @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:23PM
some of us are old enough to remember pluto as a planet. My Very Ernest Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas.
Jesus, is this all I remember from school???
schuyler @ Oct 22nd 2008 10:44PM
How will the childrens learn their planets now?!?!?!
Kspraydad @ Oct 23rd 2008 12:02AM
Man Very Early Made Jars Stand Up Nearly Perpendicular ... don't even know why that made sense when I was a kid.
Jed @ Oct 24th 2008 12:05AM
It's just not the same anymore
aots16 @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:28PM
ABOUT TIME!!!!
Sony needs more marketing like this cheap smart and effective. what a great way to get LBP even more out there for the price of like a 10.00 web page.
Embrace @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:45PM
I do not trust this website, it is not owned or affiliated with sony or lbp other than images ripped off the net of sackboy, it is poorly made and non-secure.... Me thinks it might be using the little big planet hype to steal some email addys.
linebeginstoblur @ Oct 23rd 2008 12:38PM
It IS involved with Sony. Read the website's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you're referring to how, other than that, there's no connection to the Sony or Mm websites, then you must not know how viral marketing works.
SnapAttack @ Oct 22nd 2008 10:14PM
Yeah, this looks a bit dodgy. It links to the Sony PlayStation terms of service and privacy policy, but it is registered under Porter Novelli, some PR firm. Have Sony ever used them before? I would've thought that not only would there be the ESRB rating, but the Sony, PS3 and Mm logos along the bottom too if it was really official.
MBO @ Oct 22nd 2008 10:26PM
Remember "All I Want For Xmas is a PSP"?
Kspraydad @ Oct 22nd 2008 11:32PM
Porter Novelli has worked with SONY in the past according to Google.
I wouldn't put this in the league of I want a PSP ... It's just some marketing fun for LBP

pluto shouldn't be a planet. it's not about size, it's about the eccentricity and plane of its orbit. it clearly was not formed at the same time as the other planets from the accretion disk. thus it is not a planet, but a captured rogue planetoid. science has got to have standards.
in other news, LBP is awesome!
ChocoDK @ Oct 22nd 2008 10:44PM
Pluto was my favorite planet as a kid. How dare they tell us now its not. Also I love the Sackboy picture its so cute!
NightHawk @ Oct 22nd 2008 11:27PM
i officially sell my soul and life to sackboy! when i first heard that pluto wasn't a planet anymore i was pissed off but seeing others care about that tiny cold planet warms my heart SACKBOY SACKBOY SACKBOY!!!!!!!!
Lex @ Oct 22nd 2008 11:35PM
is this real? if you look at the private policy link, it mentions SOCOM not LBP.
Lard @ Oct 23rd 2008 12:29AM
I'm offended by the inclusion of Pluto in the list of planets. Please pull all planets from the galaxy.
reakt @ Oct 23rd 2008 4:12AM
But how does Sackboy even know and care about Pluto. His own Little Big Planet must be somewhere in our own galaxy, the milky way, that's the only plausible answer.
reakt @ Oct 23rd 2008 4:20AM
Yes, the site is official. As someone else pointed out, Porter Novelli (PR company) are behind it and do a whois DNS lookup to see that for yourself. It won't be on MM's site as I think it would have been commissioned solely by Sony. On the Porter Novelli website they have a lot of big-name tech companies and consumer electronics companies listed. http://www.porternovelli.com/
Jonathan @ Oct 23rd 2008 5:23AM
No, thanks. Pluto isn't a planet.
Fazman @ Oct 23rd 2008 8:56AM
Pluto isn't considered a planet because it doesn't have the orbital dominance the other planets have. It lies in the Kuiper Belt with like 3 or so other dwarf planets, and 1 beyond that called Eris which is bigger than Pluto. There is also a closer one in the asteroid belt in between Mars and Jupiter. To be classified as a planet you need to have 3 things and Pluto and the other dwarf planet lacks the 3rd. That is why they are all not considered a planet anymore. And if you do consider it, then you need to add the other 4 or 5 along with it
Fazman @ Oct 23rd 2008 5:50AM
Pluto isn't considered a planet anymore because it doesn't have orbital dominance. In order to be considered a planet you need to follow 3 guidelines and Pluto lacks the 3rd. It lies in the Kuiper Belt along with 2 others. 1 lies beyond the Kuiper Belt and is actually bigger than Pluto. Another one lies in the Asteroid Belt in between Mars and Jupiter. So if you consider Pluto a planet you need to add the other ones as well.

The Democrat @ Oct 26th 2008 9:38AM
Don't do anything! it says Mavericks for change on the bottom! we are better then to let Sony trick us, Sony has no connection to the politics or science except their concept of technology and entertainment....
