LittleBigPlanet patch now out in Europe

TheSixthAxis is reporting that a v1.01 patch for LittleBigPlanet hit Europe this morning, removing the controversial content which caused the delay. The song "Tapha Niang," by Toumani Diabaté is still in the game according to TheSixthAxis, but it is most likely that the offensive portion has been cut or looped over.

As for North America, we've checked our own copies and no such patch is available at the moment. The patch was promised to hit on the official new release dates, though it looks like it may have come out early in Europe.

[Update: Eurogamer reports the patch "concerns certain online functions and adds more costumes, and that the music will be patched in a second update at a later date." It has not altered the song.]
