Watch Tales of the World 2's new characters fight
So, just who is going to make it into the new Radiant Mythology from all the other Tales games? Some of the new characters have been revealed to be: Cless Alvein (embedded above) from Tales of Phantasia, Presea Combatir from Tales of Symphonia, Guy Cecil from Tales of the Abyss, Iria Animi from Tales of Innocence and Caius Qualls from Tales of the Tempest. You can see all of them in gameplay vids after the break, along with the original character Kanonno.
The game will be out in Japan by January 29. While a North American release date has yet to be even mentioned, a stateside release seems likely.

this is offtopic but I just got PSP as my science Individual Science unit assessment. I thought I wouldn't get it. I have already found 4 unintended outputs of the psp including seizures, that third degree burn from the battery already said here ( burn out ironic article), and wrist damages and the chotto camera being a possible fire hazard. Anybody got any more for unintended output?

Argh, I'm trying to think................I'll get back to you. Nice idea, by the way!

ok, these ones dont *exactly* fit the criteria, but the camera was once used, to look up japanese girls skirts and there has been many crimes, over psp's. some crimes may have included deaths, not sure, hope that helped!

Yay, an rpg game that isn't a remake/port from older console. Wait, it's a fan service game in which there are characters from other Tales of 'something' ?. So it will probably have a weak storyline that is an excuse to use all those characters, like: a greater evil has awakened and only joined efforts of the greatest heroes from all universes can save this world. Umm, okay, now I'm not interested.

If it's like the first one, the cameo'd characters won't remember their past existence in the prior games at all. It'll be a relatively weak storyline reusing elements from all the prior games, but the characters themselves will have a memory wipe, and won't know that they're from a prior game, or of their prior actions.
Yeah, weak. The absence of overland travel; and the poorer storyline killed TotW:RM1 for me, and I like the Tales series.
