Apocalyptic new Killzone 2 trailer takes us to Helghan

Those comments from the people above me remind me of the chirping people of Fable 2 commenting on me everywhere I go...
But this game is just amazing...I thought it was going to be just another FPS...But the aesthetic look has swayed me more then ever...Because...That is all I ask...Give me a game where everything is just to my style and killing people and shooting stuff is satisfying...And I will play it forever.

It's being made by Sony. They're pouring loads of money and resources into it too. This is the PS3's graphical flagship, designed to really show off its power.

I jest, but it would be funny if there was some cross-polination of characters in FPS. Like Snake making a cameo appearance in KZ2 or Nathan somehow teleporting to Helgast battle, just for a small part of the campaign.
Heck TV studios do it all the time to cross-promote shows, Sony should try it.

Amen to that, the Beta is awesome. Tried the R2 beta and quickly went back to this one.
The only problem is that I occasionally get distracted by the amazing graphics and quickly pay the price...

I'm in the Beta, and for the first game, I went zero kills and like 20 deaths becaue I was too caught up in the graphics and animations to do anything. Besides those though, which are incredible, the actual gameplay is amazing as well

Sounds like this game is a none-too-subtle allegory for the Iraq war. Hopefully this means that the script for the game will be smarter than your average sci-fi war shooter's.

Actually, the Killzone storyline alludes to World War II. The developers have even admitted that.
- One month; In 1944, the Allies thought they would have the war won by Christmas with Operation Market Garden
- Moderate to low resistance; The Allies understood that an overwhelming majority of German divisions were in the East (120 in the East vs. 8 to 12 in the West).
- Enemy morale at an all time low; Prior to the invasion of Normandy, the Allies had conducted extensive bombings of the Ruhr industrial valley. They falsely claimed that the missions were successful in halting the German "war machine" and weakening German morale.
- Helghast officer uniform, insignia and general appearance are starkly similar to the Wehrmacht and SS soldiers/officers.
Yes, that was Visari on the loudspeaker, played by the great Brian Cox. That speech of his gets me so pumped. The game looks like pure win. I can't wait.

cool did you see the mgs like robot at the end this is defenetly going in my list though it is a bit dissapointing that it is only 32 players online with mag after it ,it will be the only part about the game that will be not great at least it has veh unlike a certain other fps i know cough r2 cough
