Looks like the upcoming PSP version of
Super Stardust is shaping up quite nicely. This new trailer showcases how well the handheld is able to translate the popular PS3 arcade shooter. Although the polygon count and framerate take a dip,
SSP still looks the role (and if you read our
hands-on, you know that it plays the part too).
The trailer also teases a new "Impact Mode," which piques our interest. What is it? We're not exactly too sure, but it looks like it makes crashing into things a very good thing. We approve.
Check out the trailer, after the cut.

This is definately in my "must have" pile - will be getting it for sure when it get's released. Pity they didnt put a release date as it seems like we've been waiting for a long time already. Gotta have it now ! :)

Back in the late 90s, as mobile gaming was starting to develop, there was a rubber addon for some phones that had an analog stick that pressed buttons as you moved the stick. I'd love it if something similar was made for the PSP.

Hmm, this impact mode was 'inspired' by crash mode from Burnout, but it seems like a good rip-off for SSP. Anyway, it looks like it'll be a frantic time absorber, but I get the feeling that it won't be a long game.
