American PSN update for October 30th

The Mirror's Edge demo highlights this otherwise fairly lackluster PSN Store update. If you want to get into the Halloween mood there's a price drop on Siren: Blood Curse and a demo for Alone In The Dark. Otherwise, it's the usual load of downloadable content and videos. Probably late so they get more hits to their site. I know I was checking PS3F every few mins all freakin day long. I wanted to know whether I should splurge on some food on my way home or splurge on the store instead. I chose food, but now I see there's lots of awesome RB songs... oh well.

Lars, the Rock Band songs come out way earlier than the store update, I downloaded and installed them shortly after the Euro update.

Well for people praying to Todd that their *insert random content here* was released *insert me and Disgaea 3 DLC* then yes it is lack luster.

4 demos is ok... but everyone has something that they were hoping and praying for... of course why any company would want to release a PSN game in the midst of...

Deadspace, Bioshock, Little Big Planet, Socom Confrontation, Valkeria Chronicles, Eternal Sonata, Supersonic **** Battle Cars (I love the game sooooo.... much), Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Resistance Retribution, and those are just SOME of the great SONY titles... there are other great games coming out and... who seriously has 600 spare dollars in this financial crisis? I couldn't imagine someone not wanting to buy a game this month. There's something for everyone... that's not a boosey.

Sweet...I can finally play the Endwar demo in High Def unlike my 360 core model that does not have any HD ports in which all Ps3 models do in fact have it.

If you have a hd set went to the trouble of purchasing a 360, you should buy a component cable for it. You could probably get a secondhand one for like 10 dollars.

I thought all 360's came with an HD port (whether it be the ability to use component through the A/V port or an HDMI port)...is this wrong?

They didn't, but they do now. It went into effect shortly after the Elite came out.

All 360s are capable of outputting HD over component. 360s newer than a year old or so have an HDMI port.

I got so tired of waiting for the U.S. store to update i got the downloads off the EU store. I was actually more excited for the endwar demo than mirror's edge, the voice command is amazing and the game is fun, but i haven't played the mirror's edge demo yet

can you guys dig up anything on why the EU store gets everything 5 hours before the USA store? i mean seriously, i might as well download everything from that store like the mirrors edge demo and end war demo. i will try the alone in the dark demo though

they're nearly a day ahead of us, so they get store updates accordingly. we're about 6 hours behind them (depending on your timezone of course) or something.

also, no disrespect and i love the site, but i think you've come to expect a bit much of these weekly updates. 4 demos + some good videos + weekly RB DLC + $10 off on Siren is a pretty good update if you ask me.

And if u really wanna be like that, even tho our store is updated before urs, more often than not, its content that the US have had a good couple of weeks or more earlier, with this week as a notable exception. So were not 5 hours ahead, were about 5 hours shy of 2 weeks behind!

Mirrors Edge is a wonderful new IP. Dice did all right on Bad Company but Mirrors Edge is (from wot I got from the demo) going to be just amazing.

It's about time some one made a "new" way to look/play games and I think/hope this is going to be it. I pre-ordered it from EA with the timbuktu bag and there bags are good and can get vary pricy and I need a new bag to boot.

I found it interesting...I'll have to know more about the storyline and if it is 'deep' or if we are just basically playing a fancy FPP (First Person Platformer??!!) with no 'substance'.

Stylistically and control wise I thought it was well executed.

I was wondering that myself so I deleted the game and grabbed it again from my PSN download list, which includes the update. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the demo+key file to unlock full game method the PSN uses for most its PSN games. If it's not updating for you do what I did.

storyline intrigues me from the limited bits I saw.. in that I like the premise.. and the game is stunning and very enjoyable.. not a big fps fan.. but I may look into this one..

Mirror's Edge is really good! I was disappointed that one side of one building had real-time reflections... all the rest were cubemaps..Is there going to be a Far Cry 2 demo?

Liked the concept of ME but it didn't look so hot (more so the scaling and/or aliasing) and the frame rate dipping isn't very good for a FPS game of such acrobatics (it would look stunning in a higher res with a locked 60fps - maybe PC version?).

As of now it's a very brave/interesting idea and should be tried by everyone.. I'm just not convinced it's actually 'that' fun yet.

Far Cry 2 is game of the year for me. I love the freedom.

Mirror's Edge demo, well, that was a pretty huge disappointment.

I fell asleep before ME finished downloading. I woke up and started the demo, saw like 2 seconds of the intro movie and zonked out. The intro looks cool from what I remember. I wasn't expecting the style, since I hadn't seen it in the trailers that I've watched. I'll have to wait until I get home. As far as Far Cry 2. I have played about 2 hours of it in between ALL of the other games I'm trying to divide time with. From what I've played it is really good, but pretty damn hard! I mean I'm just driving along minding my own business trying to get to a place to start a mission and BOOM! I'm I roll up on some outpost or something and try to defend myself and end up getting killed. It's definitely not a game you can play for 5 minutes and put down. It takes 20 minutes just to get to the place to start a mission, then five to get to the objective, then if there is another objective.....I mean its fun but it has the same issues as any other sandbox game.

Frame rate drops? I did not see one of that kinda things :S I had no framedrops or what so ever. I play'd the demo for 4 times but really, I had no framedrops.

The game itself is ownage and i'm really gonna get this game :D

I rented Far Cry 2 for a week, it's off the hook! - I put about 20 hours in and it's truely brilliant. Except the repetetivness (is that even a word?) there are say 50odd of the same missions, it get's pretty samey, but you can do them all however you like, I like to just set the whole place on fire and pick off the fleeing enemies with my 50cal.

just took it back though : ( to get Fallout3! - Whooo! Been waitng since the 90's for this game!

Really looking forward to Endwar demo, has finished DLing but I had to come to work, lame. Home in a couple of hours though. Hmmm, Endwar Demo or get straight into Fallout, hmmmmmm.

Mirrors Edge demo too, but i think Fallout will come first to that one.
