LittleBigPlanet will get more developer levels

As noted in our review, despite the fantastic level design for the stages packaged with the game in LittleBigPlanet, there just wasn't enough of them. It looks like Media Molecule agrees -- speaking to GamePro, associate producer Eric Fong confirmed what many suspected: more levels are coming, straight from Media Molecule themselves.

Regrettably though, Fong hinted that in-game weapons and power-ups won't make any future appearances. "In our opinion, the spirit of LittleBigPlanet was to "figure ways around obstacles" and less about blowing stuff up."

And also they just announced on the ps blog that they're releasing costumes for sackboy in the PS store 2day. Some free for a limited time and sum cost

Actually Nov 6 to 19th for the NA store...includes a Hallowe'en costume (for next year???)

I'd like to see professionally produced levels of SONY IP and when you 100% the level you get some kind of DLC for that IP...just dreaming

That's an amazing idea, and a brilliant one, if I may add. Developers like Kojima Productions could create a side-project dedicated to LittleBigPlanet content like extra characters and levels. They don't have to haul ass as if they were to make an MGS game, but I would like them to take their time.

And well I don't really care about in-game weapons and blowing stuff up.. so well no loss for me there.

i can blow stuff up real good in the game, but they're right about the weapons thing. maybe in the sequel they can ad some alien hominid/contra style game play

Thank god. Extreme violence doesn't need to be in every damn game I play. I mean, I like GTA when I'm in the mood for GTA, but I don't want uzi's in LBP... sheesh.

Oh and bring on those dev levels... those guys do some AMAZING stuff. The last boss was mind boggling cool. I don't even know where to begin, making robots like that.

Is anyone else having problems connecting to the LittleBigPlanet servers i updated earlier and was playing online now I can't.

It's hit or miss, the servers have been up and down since the release. They still haven't worked out all the load issues/bugs with the online gameplay.

(note sarcasm) wtf!! how about making the online system work!! i am not placated by costumes!! exclamation point!! what the hell is with these games coming out not ready to play out of the box. there is really no excuse, especially when you have a beta period. get with it mm/sony

O ya, my bad. Nov 6th on the costumes... I guess I assumed 2day since 1 is a halloween themed costume. Kinda dumb to release AFTER halloween

I'm sure they created the halloween costume before they did the game recall. So if it was released on the original schedule, then it would have been perfect timing.

Since they've made the costume, they may as well release it, even if it's a little late.
