Help! PixelJunk Monsters patch isn't working! [Update]

So ... Did you get that PixelJunk Monsters patch yesterday? Neither did we. The patch is technically live and available for all. The problem is, the only way American users can get the patch right now is to download the game anew. To do that, you'll want to go to the PlayStation Store and click on the "View Downloads" button. Find and install PixelJunk Monsters -- it will already have the patch built in!

If that's too much work, don't worry. SCEA is currently investigating the situation. Hopefully, it won't be long before you can auto-magically get the new challenge and Trophy-enabled patch.

Update: The patch is now available when you launch the game.

Errm, clearly idiots work here.

1. open game.
2. get prompted new update is available
3. download update.
4. play game.

I sometimes wonder if the clueless idiots here actually have playstation 3s

Actually...that hasn't worked in NA up to at least 9:30 am EST...that is why this workaround helps.

Unfortunately, the patch isn't working for American users of the game. Sometimes I wonder if clueless readers like you know what you're talking about before leaving a comment on the site.

Ummm, I'm not talking about Novastrike; I know that game was patched. I'm talking about Pixel Junk Eden where you're a secret spy named Solid Snake and you go through Liberty City doing missions like robbing a bank and killing corrupt cops and you have a little sidekick named Clank that helps you out.

Once again, Asian players get the shaft. No patch far as I can tell. Same as Stardust, no trophy patch. Bah!

Why do you have to download the game again? Why not just release a patch like other games (Singstar) do. Furthermore, the process cannot be paused, resumed or downloaded in the background, so if you get disconnected (I did, twice) you have to start over. Not much fun on a slow expensive 3G connection. A bit primitive allround.

I got the update last night, can't wait to go after some trophies! I just had time to scope out what some of them where. I like the fact that it's separate challenges for many of the worlds, more reason to go back and try to play some of them a different way.

I can't redownload the game!!!

both the game and encore say their file size is 100kb and they "download" and "install" but they aren't on my PS3.

It's driving me crazy
