Get 20% off used PSP games at GameStop
GameStop is running a deal where you can get used PSP games for 20% off. You're going to have to hurry though -- the coupon expires on 11/6. Simply print this image and give it to your GameStop retail clerk (this one won't work online, sorry!). With a huge back catalog of games, finding a used PSP game you're interested in should be quite easy.

I refuse to even go there, anymore. It's just another Nintendo Store these days - PSP games are relegated to a tiny sliver of their wall (if that) and the few hardware/accessories are chucked in a corner. They don't stock hardly any copies of new titles or systems and the employees advocate buying a Wii or DS over a PS3 or PSP (aggressively - I've overheard them 'advising' customers like this many times).
So yeah... I could care less if Gamestop is 'discounting' an overpriced used game that they give some poor sap pennies for.

1) Sony doesn't PAY for the PSP to be represented like it should be.
2) Everyone at my store recommends the PSP and PS3 over DS and Wii anyday.
Not everyone at GameStop is an idiot.

Maybe. But that's the exception.

It seems to vary gamestop to gamestop. There is one gamestop in particular that has tons of PSP games, it's better than their DS selection surprisingly. But I have found most of them to push the 360 actually. I'll go in to pre-order or buy a game and they'll say "the 360 version, right?" I'll say "no, PS3." And they'll give me all kinds of shit like "oh dude, no... all the cross platform games are unplayable on anything other than 360."
Tools.

I personally plan to use this coupon - check out this list created by PSP Fanboy:

Or you could... buy a real copy and support the developers? I know that's not feasible for a lot of people, but used games hurt just as much (if not more) than piracy, since used games are technically guaranteed sales if someone buys the game anyway.
Gurbinder @ Nov 2nd 2008 6:07PM
Yeah but sometimes its rare to find new copies of some games you might want to buy ( specifically third party). I remember looking for Death Junior 2: Root of Evil a year ago in a sealed package , couldn't find it. Had to buy a new one @ EB Games since my access to buying software over the internet is limited.

As if they (developers) really need our support. I felt ripped off buying a PSP until I found out about the CFW. Yeah.. most of you might say, it's because piracy that they are not making games for PSP. In my case, its the other way around.
General Specific @ Nov 3rd 2008 9:02AM
jala, you are very correct. I'm agreeing 100%. But this is a vicious circle. They won't make because we don't buy. We don't buy because they won't make. One of us need to break the chain, and the developers are nothing more than little only child brats who don't know how to share and don't know what not getting their way is.
The industry is so broken. It's usually about the service to the customers, but not here. To them, it's about how many corners they can cut and get the biggest pay out of it. Customer appreciation has been replaced with the glutinous want of money

I know what you mean, when devs are just milking the psp, but not all devs do that, such as square enix or capcom.
Yes, the ports are considered bad, sometimes, but they are ports, not new/remade games.
So remember, some people actually try making good, quality games.

This would be a lot more enticing if it -still- wasn't cheaper to find just about any game on eBay or through Amazon merchants. Seriously, it's ridiculous. I saw Kingdom Under Fire for 360 at Gamestop for $34.99 used a few weeks ago, I came home and got it on eBay for $11.50. Even the 20% off doesn't help Gamestop's shitty prices.
Christopher @ Nov 3rd 2008 12:50PM
Agreed. I was going to post this. Yeah, incentive to buy their overpriced used games where they make more than 60% margin. 20% off isn't even close. I was looking for Gamecube games recently, and I give them props for still carrying them, but some of their used Cube games were STILL over $40 bucks! Especially ones that are have sequels on or have ports of still popular games on the Wii like Twilight Princess or Fire Emblem...
Bah, Gamestop needs to close...
