Itagaki-less Team Ninja says 'PS3 has most potential'
Despite the fact that Team Ninja has only developed one title for PS3 -- which was last year's Ninja Gaiden Sigma -- TN's Yosuke Hayashi calls this gen's black sheep of the console family the system with the most potential. Speaking to Gamasutra, Hayashi said " ... we do not believe that we've seen the fullest of its potential from any standpoint: from a developer standpoint, and also a consumer standpoint -- and just in products in general. There is greater potential, and we see that possibility the most in the PlayStation 3. It's going to be up to us developers and Sony to make sure that that does happen."
Does that last line mean that Team Ninja might be working on a new PS3 title? The wider Tecmo corporation is already at work on the PS3-exclusive Quantum Theory, which was shown in video at last month's Tokyo Game Show. What could Team Ninja be working on, if anything at all?

I don't think they're working on the PS3 at the moment, but it would be hard to deny that they weren't thinking about it.

we know its got more potential, as the mystery BBC game still hasn't surfaced and that was supposed to be the best thing ever.
Although something out of leftfield from team Ninja would be awesome.

I thought that was Heavy Rain? All sources seem to point that....but if it hasn't been announced yet...happy day when they do.... :P

It isn't Heavy Rain, the reporter confirmed that.
Sony, please say something!
2010, here I come.

Even without Itagaki, I'm glad the company is still doing its best to stay active. Seeing all the support the ps3 is getting this year brings me blind optimism for the upcoming year :D.

Well hopefully that enthusiasm transfers over to Quantum Theory. That game's trailer (CG though it may have been), looked pretty cool.

Ninja Gaiden II Σ confirmed. :P

You don't want that abomination of a sequel, with extra features or better graphics. It's just very bad. Stick to Sigma.

No doubt the PS3 has more potential. A lot of dope games dropped this year, still are, and I'm totally optimistic about 2009.

If he said so then prove it for making a great ps3-exclusive game. You can't just NATO (non action talk only) ;D

i bought the PS3 version of Ninja Gaiden but never actually played it....

For now I would be happy if Tecmo releases Ninja Gaiden 2 for PS3. I played NGS on PS3 and I really loved it but was disappointed with NG2 was release exclusively for X360.
Let's hope they do release NG2 for PS3

You left out the part where he said PS3 was the most powerful
