PS3 November buyer's guide

Following the resounding success of our October Buyer's Guide, PS3Fanboy is back again to give our readers a little bit of consumer guidance as we move into the month of November. Even though there are fewer releases compared to October, there are still a good number of titles for gamers to tread through -- so we've done the work for you and hand-selected the ones we think you should check out. Without further ado, let's take at look at the picks on our November Buyer's Guide.

i would agree but i think mirror's edge really has a chance of being great and in the final few for game of the year nominee

I don't know about Mirror's Edge. I downloaded the demo. Played it. And then had 2 of buddies come over.(Different times) The first guy... didn't understand the concept of the game and would look for a door instead of jumping over a fence. Or look for stairs instead of jumping pipes. The second guy... came later. And did the exact samething!! Blah! lol

Valkyria Chronicles may not be your cup of tea but it's far from mediocre. I've yet to play the other games on that list so I can't comment on them. (although I did try the Naruto demo and was quite impressed. I'll wait until it goes down in price but it surely has many qualities that exceed mediocrisy)

Looks like I'm the opposite of Zyn. I think R2 looks mediocre but oh man there's a lot of good games coming out.

@Sin: So what you're saying is neither bothered to read or watch the tutorial, which is what a majority of the demo is. Follow Celeste, do what Celeste does. It straight up tells you this. Horse to water man, horse to water.

Why mention Tomb Raider? Can you even call it a game? The series should have died on the PS1. What a poor game.

Forgot Endwar too. That's my game of the month. R2 mupltiplayer was underwhelming and clunky -coming from a BFBC/COD4/MGO regular. I'll pickup R2 used closer to the holiday season.

Heck yes! - Tomb Raider is AIDS. i was sick of looking for levers back in the 90's!

Endwar is my game of the month for sure, the demo is rocking my world! After playing many hours of MGO I find Resistance 2 to be piss poor. Res1 was rubbish too.

I don't see the appeal of these crappy arcade shooters.

i'm hoping for some gritty realism from COD5 though. Less shooting aleins with laser guns, more killing krauts and japs with rifle headshots!

So I suppose you guys didn't play Legend... It was pretty darned good, you know. Certainly well up there with Uncharted, if not so pretty as an early 360 title ;)

Only ones im getting are Mirror's Edge and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm. I might get Valkria Chronicles but it depends on if i like the demo.

Again! Joystiq fails the buyers guide again. Last month they forgot to mention Far Cry 2 and now they didnt even mention Tomb Raider Underworld. Are you kidding? Are you guys being paid to be biased?

You have a point; there is absolutely no press about TR:U for PS3. 360 is getting exclusive DLC and a demo, which we'll miss.

But the PC demo was amazing, if a little unfinished in its early build state. If you like uncharted, but not especially for the gun battles, you shouldn't be missing it.

I have to play that. still have not. I bought fallout 3 last week. I bought this week LBP, Resistance 2, Paid off COD5, and from gamefly I have Motorstorm PR. I'm debating if I should get Naruto or EndWar from gamefly. way too many games.

I don't know why everyone keeps saying this is the less hardcore of the two (fifa being the other). I always found PES to be more for the hardcore fan considering that you very often have to make the kits and player updates yourself and the gameplay feels more accurate (particularly the physics). FIFA to me feels too sluggish and is too slow for my taste (I still bought it because every year i can't help but buy both). I've played the demo for PES 09 tons more times than the full FIFA 09 game.

Tomb Raider looks like garbage, I don't see it offering anything new since it came out for PS1..

res. 2 all the way for me. by xmas i hope to have res 2, fallout 3, LBP, soulcalibur 4 (ya its not super brand new so what), end war, and confrontation. my gaming budget is bigger this year lol

Resistance 2 and Mirror's Edge will be the games I pick up though.

Valkyria Chronicles - Downloaded the demo but deleted it before installing lol saw a video of it, did not like it. I should have given it a chance but if your into those kinds of games I'm sure it should be fun. :No Thanks:

James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace - Should be fun if your into the next gen bond games. Powered by the COD:4 Engine... Shouldn't you just go play COD4? /sarcasm/end sarcasm :No thanks:

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm - Have not seen/heard of the game. (Don't Shoot Me Fanboys) Should be fun for Naruto Fans. :Game Unknown to this specimen:

R2 - Will be getting.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 - Should be fun for Pes fans. I would rather get FIFA 09 Just because it seems less arcade-ish. :Getting FIFA:

COD:WW - Should be fun for people that are new to the ww2 next gen activision games. Nazi zombies arent new though. If you played COD you know what im talking about. :Maybe when it goes down in price:

Mirror's Edge - Next Gen Tomb Raider. Jay Kay as they type these days, The game play/story is a nice new concept. :Getting:

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe - Should be fun Bashing batman's Face with Scorpion. :Maybe When Gamefly has it:
