Trophy Guide: LittleBigPlanet

LittleBigPlanet is probably the biggest exclusive title to see release on the PS3 this fall season. With 48 Trophies to collect, it's sure to keep Trophy hunter preoccupied for quite awhile. Not too long, however, as this Trophy guide will help out with some of the dirty work.

Play Gold | Moderate To get this Trophy, you have to ace (no lives lost) all story levels. That includes the challenge levels (except the ones where it is necessary to die to end the stage). This may sound tough, but if you've played levels over and over again to collect items, you should have the layout memorized naturally and can breeze right through. The story levels themselves are designed quite easy -- with the only exception of the "Bunker" stage being a challenge. It is recommended you save that one for last. Here's a tip for not dying during boss fights: study their moves carefully; they'll always repeat their actions in a loop. Knowing this, they become very predictable, especially the final boss. Just stay calm and read their moves. -------------------- |

Create Gold | Difficult This is considered difficult because you've got to not only grab the attention of other gamers, but impress them with your level design. With lots of new levels popping up everywhere now, it might be hard to get recognized. Even then, a lot of people don't know how to "heart" authors (open up the "more by this author" tab, click their icon, then heart them) -- getting 30 can take awhile. Best thing to do is pick a familiar game the LBP crowd would be familiar with (like any PS exclusive title) and base a design around that. It'll grab attention, and if it's unique and interesting, people will definitely start digging it. -------------------- |

Share Gold | Difficult This is probably the most difficult to get in the sense that it is the most time-consuming. Despite the description where it says "play 150 community levels," it really means finish 150 unique community-created levels. No popping in and out -- you've got to finish them. Best advice for Trophy hunters, use the "search" tool to look for levels that are tagged "quick, short, fast, easy or musical." These are the easiest levels to complete. Track your progress by hitting the "recent" tab and count how many levels have sackboy heads on them (which symbolize level is cleared). Then make sure to tag at least 50 of those completed levels and heart 10 levels. There's no way to track tags in the game, but hearts can be monitored by checking out your "my levels" page 2. -------------------- |

Just Beginning Silver | Easy to Moderate Like the description says, complete all the main path story levels. There are usually only three in each world. The final world has four. All the levels are very easy, but watch out for "Bunker." Take your time with this one. Sometimes it's easier to finish a level playing solo because you don't need to worry about going off screen and dying, or online lag (if online). -------------------- |

20X Multiplier! Silver | Easy Get a 20x multiplier score by making your own level and place a huge amount of score bubbles near the beginning. Then, test out the level in play mode and grab all the bubbles. If you don't have enough for 20x multiplier, then go back into edit mode and add in some more. -------------------- |

Hi Score Silver | Easy To get a combined score of one million is very easy. If you did the 20x multiplier, then you should know what the trick is here. Just add more bubbles until you can reach a 100x multiplier and finish the level. You should have a massive score. If you don't get the trophy, just play the level again and again until you do. Remember it's cumulative score; not all in one level. -------------------- |

Booty Master Silver | Difficult This is only difficult because it is necessary to access the x2, x3, and x4 player areas. This means you'll need to rely on other people to help you out -- not just your own skill. Unless you have three friends with time on their hands and a controller each, this can be very tough to get with online friends. Online multiplayer has no formal lobby, which makes it difficult for people with similar interests to band up together (finding them and keeping them around is tough). A good work around is to post a request to join up together on an outside internet forum. Eventually, you'll find all the items as the solo ones are very easy to spot. You can track your progress by checking the last details page of a level. -------------------- |

Dr Frankenstein Silver | Easy You first need to take the tutorial for creating creatures in edit mode. Simply finish all previous tutorials by hitting "the next tutorial" button in the pop-it. Once you get to that one, finish the tutorial and exit back to your level. Now just create a creature with everything you just learned. -------------------- |

Crowd Pleaser Silver | Easy Make sure you have a catchy name. Get your friends and online friends to play it. If you follow our advice for the "Create" gold Trophy, then you'll have this one by the end of the day. -------------------- |

Feel the love Silver | Moderate To get 10 people to heart your level, you're really going to have to make a good one. The majority of people will be there to just play and not bother with hearting, tagging or whatever. You need to impress the people with good design and a familiar approach (again, follow our advice for "Create" gold Trophy. This one could take awhile as there are so many levels out there now. You need to stand out of the crowd with something special, good luck. -------------------- |

Celebrity Silver | Difficult This can be tough as most people don't know how to heart players. You need to open their level page, hit "more by this author," hit their player card, and then heart them. Again, who would go out of their way just to do this? People who are impressed with your level. Again, can't stress this enough: you need to make a fairly unique, not necessarily original, and fun level. There's no work around. Fashion Sense Bronze | Easy After having finished a few levels, check to see if you have any new head, body and material items. Switch into new items for all three areas and you'll get the Trophy. -------------------- |

Trendsetter Bronze | Easy Easy if you've got another controller. Just fire up your other controller and let the new Sackperson load up. Once it's there, place a sticker on him or her. Done. If you don't have a second controller, then play online. The easiest time to place a sticker on another Sackperson is when they're waiting around in the pod. -------------------- |

Forager Bronze | Easy There's no real way of gauging the percentage of the items you've already acquired, so just keep collecting items as you go. 25 percent will come extremely easy. -------------------- |

Sticky Fingers Bronze | Easy Again, there's no real way of gauging the percentage of the items you've already acquired, so just keep collecting items as you go. 50 percent will come pretty easily without much effort. -------------------- |

Treasure Hunter Bronze | Easy Again, there's no real way of gauging the percentage of the items you've already acquired, so just keep collecting items as you go. 75 percent will come with some effort to collect as much as you can. So if you see a prize bubble, make sure to grab it. If it's too high, use movable objects to give you a boost. Also, make sure to check behind other objects. -------------------- |

2X Multiplier! Bronze | Easy You'll get this almost instantaneously in the first level. If not, it's really not difficult to get in latter stages. -------------------- |

8X Multiplier! Bronze | Easy Most online community levels give insane amounts of score bubbles, which makes getting this easy. If you don't have online, then you could always follow our 20x strategy. Also, the only way to get it in the purest way is go to "The Meerkat Kingdom" stage in the Savannah. There's a section there with a lot of score bubbles. If you time your jumps and landings right, you'll get 8x multiplier there. -------------------- |

Cranium Collector Bronze | Easy Killing 100 creatures across all levels is easier than it sounds. Don't bother worrying about this or counting. Just play the levels naturally, and you'll eventually get this. -------------------- |

Secret Stickerist Bronze | Easy This was a bit tricky. You'll need to complete the first level and then replay it. Near the beginning there will be some sticker switches. Just activate them with the right stickers and you're done. -------------------- |

Incredible Speed! Bronze | Easy You can't achieve this in the regular story mode. You need to create a level with a vehicle that has rocket boost maxed out. Then take it for a spin. There are also community levels which will help you get this (cheating!). -------------------- |

Incredible Height! Bronze | Easy You can't achieve this in the regular story mode. You need to create a level with a vehicle that has rocket boost maxed out. Make sure it's pointed vertically and then take it for a spin. -------------------- |

Sackbird Bronze | Easy You can't achieve this in the regular story mode. You need to create a springboard with a piston. Tweak the piston to a maximum length of 40.0, a minimum length of 1.0 and strength at 10.0. Time should be at 0.1s and pause should be at 4.0s (so you can get on). Feel free to mess around with the settings, though this will guarantee four seconds in the air going up and four second going down. Just right for the Trophy. -------------------- |

Friendly Bronze | Easy Just finish a level with another player. It's self explanatory, really! If you want a short cut, play First Steps, and once near the end at the last respawn point turn on your second controller. Then control both Sackboys to the goal. Done. -------------------- |

Party Person Bronze | Easy Luckily you know enough people on your friends list who can game at the same time. If you don't, then best give a shout out on an internet forum and make some friends! Remember, this is online play on any level. -------------------- |

Socialite Bronze | Moderate Finding three strangers is tough. If that wasn't tough enough, then keeping them around is even harder as they can come and go as they please. Like we said earlier, there is no formal lobby so getting connected to a stranger's game is really somewhat of a dice roll. If you're lucky you'll pop into a group of three just about to finish the level -- there, all done! However, that's rare. Best thing to do is make a request on an internet forum, add everyone (so you can easily invite and join their game) and get the Party Person Trophy. Then, delete them from your friends list and finish another level. You'll have the Socialite Trophy. -------------------- |

Top of the class Bronze | Easy Winning a 4-player game is easy. You need to collect as much score points as possible. Try not to die, and at the same time try slapping other players into death zones so they lose points. It's best to choose a difficult level that you're very good at. -------------------- |

Traveller Bronze | Easy Just finish any community level. You can do that, right? -------------------- |

FIRST! Bronze | Easy Keep a keen eye out for new community levels with less than 10 people having played it. You can check how many people have played the level by the number situated next to the Sackperson symbol in the upper right-hand corner. An alternative is to publish your own locked level, which makes it impossible for others to play. Play it, finish it, and you get the Trophy. -------------------- |

Opinionated Bronze | Easy After finishing a community level, just choose the number of stars you want to give it, and then leave a tag. Done. -------------------- |

Creator Bronze | Easy Just open up the tools editor and choose a level with a template. Then simply add a few small items and keep eye on the thermostat that it's above 30%. Save. Done. -------------------- |

Team Creator Bronze | Easy If you have a second controller, just turn it on while in the tools editor. Save the level that you're making. Done. -------------------- |

Publisher Bronze | Easy Once finished creating a level, go back to the "my moon" page. Click on your level and tap right. You'll see a big "Publish" sign. Hit that and your level will be in the "cool levels" for everyone to play. You'll also get the Trophy. -------------------- |

after you do the tutorials make sure the "?" icon is no longer in your pop-it menu, if it is gone, then look for any items that may have the little gold ? next to them, I noticed I had a few tutorials to finish after I thought I had done them all.. the trophy came shortly after I did a quick run thru and did all of them

The online trophies are going to be hard to get, I spent 12 hours making a level and a few smaller levels.. nowhere near getting the trophies for hearts and plays yet, I don't claim to be an expert at level making but its really fun anyway!

Don't you mean number 8? It's not hard to believe. I've seen others with them and I'm nearly there myself. (Only need a dozen or so more hearts for my level and a couple more 100% on story levels.)

Sackbird: Easier way to get this trophy is to have a friend pick you up while they have a jetpack and you dont. Once they hold you for 8 seconds without touching the ground the trophy will pop up.

i have 48% of the trophies. the 150 levels was made easier by searching for anti 360 boards where all i had to do was blow stuff up. it also helped that people were making trophy boards that i played just to swim in point bubbles. i'll get to work creating and playing with others soon

I'm platinum too, but I think there is a flaw in the Create trophy, because I got it after 50 cumulative level hearts.. :/

You'll see an ace of spades.
ace of spades = aced level
item bag = all items collected
sackboy head = stage cleared

Very good guide - probably one of the better ones I've seen thus far. Not all of them are very hard, but what can I say... that's alright. I've become a trophy whore and I can't stop.

Much appreciation to whoever made this guide, but for all the world trophies ("The Gardens", "The Savannah", etc.) you don't need to play the challenge levels. I've been playing straight through the story levels and have barely touched any challenge levels at all, but you still get those world trophies doing that. I don't know if the "Play" trophy also doesn't care about challenge levels or not...

Well I just got the game and I am still struggeling with the Bunker.
Getting your level played is easy. I made a hovercraft (PSN: Wuddel, Level: "Somewhat working hovercraft") and I got 50 plays in an hour or something, but since no one hearted I gets forgotten easily.

Correction: as far as I know, you don't need to finish all the challenge levels to get the Gardens, Savannah or Wedding trophies. I have the trophies, and I know I didn't do all the challenge levels. I only did the main 3 levels in each of those areas.

Go back and hit square button over each of the items in your toolbox. If the name of the tutorial appears under the Tutorial button, you've completed the tutorial. If no name appears, the game has not registered you as having played that tutorial.

I have gone through with 2 of my profiles, and done all the colored/question marked ones, and have yet to get the create tutorial trophy. anyone else having this problem? i even manually redid all tutorials again with no success. this sucks. pm me with help...

Hey everyone,
As I'm sure lots of PS3 owners know, LittleBigPlanet has 3 gold trophies, Play, Create, and Share.
For the Play trophy I can offer no help, other than wish you the best of luck. The other two, Create and Share, I'm able to provide some help for.
Share involves playing 150 levels, tagging 50, and hearting 10. Now, although the tagging and hearting of the levels is relatively easy, the game asks you to do so anyway, it's the 150 plays that is very time-consuming and hard to do.
This is where I can help though.
I've made 20 levels, all of these being very, very short, 2 steps and you're done, in which you can get that tally up so fast, you'll be getting the gold in no time.
Search up my PSN ID, "Trewsey", and start playing my levels, you'll be a whole lot closer to the daunting 150 mark.
PS: If you're in the giving mood, and if my levels have helped you whatsoever, then please heart them, as well as me as a user. To heart me as a user, simply go to the description for one of my levels, and press on my ID in the top left corner, and simply heart me. A five second procedure, but it will certainly help me lots.
Now, for the create trophy, you need to have 50 collective hearts on your levels, as well as 30 hearts for you as a user. Getting 30 hearts is not easy at all, but I can help, at least a little bit.
If you need hearts, either on your levels or on yourself as a user, add me on the PlayStation Network, and we'll exchange hearts, you heart me and my levels, I'll do the same for you.
Hopefully these tips and guides can help you achieve the difficult trophies, cheers!

Hey great guide! , hope those mgs things dont come in the way of my platinum trophy, or thats what im hoping,
Ive recently found out that most of the people that dont have enough skill to make a huge colorful great map just do the "heart 4 heart" thing still takes pretty damn long to do that aswell :P but if your interested in
