Age of Booty looting PSN this Thursday
Capcom's next PSN game, Age of Booty, will strike the American PlayStation Store this Thursday (a simultaneous European and Asian launch is "looking good" but unconfirmed). The pirate-themed RTS game received decent reviews when it launched on XBLA earlier this year. However, now that the holiday flood of games has started, will people pay attention to this downloadable title?

so. Im guessing this will be missed by a load of people... but another example of the stores diversity... If trophies are set from launch it will atleast sell to those whores... me being one of them

Being a RTS fan I definetely will get this if the price is right. In general my threshhold for getting a PSN game is lower than getting a Blu-ray game due to the price tending to be so much lower I feel I can easier afford getting a dud once in a while.

I'll wait to read some reviews before I plop money into another potential dud of a PSN game(echochrome).

I'm interested in this game, and hope it isn't a dud... As for waiting for a review... I'm not as worried about a downloadable game, as opposed to a disk-based one. Paying $10-15 (or less, Linger in Shadows) isn't that bad for a mediocre game (LiS isn't mediocre, but it could have better), but paying $60 for one makes me want to eat my own arm for being stupid. Reviews for the games I buy on disk, leap of faith for the downloadables... Super Stardust HD worked out pretty good.

I'm definitely downloading this one--I love RTS's, but another big selling point for me is offline multiplayer. I have friends over often enough that being able to play offline together is a must. Thankfully, PSN games have started picking up the slack for the lack of offline multiplayer games coming out for the PS3 (other than LBP, there's not much else. Why oh why didn't they make Valkyria Chronicles multiplayer with a skirmish mode?!). I even bought a PS2 game for that reason--Dokapon Kingdom--a great party game. Plus, I have a daughter who's into games and it's great being able to enjoy things together.
And of course, the pirate theme is a very welcome and seldom explored genre in the game world. Plus, there is a map editor included with the game as well.

This one doesn't really interest me - I'd rather get the oh-so-often-delayed Soldner-X game. But I'm sure that will be delayed yet again.
