Japanese LBP site shows upcoming DLC

What's on the LittleBigPlanet downloadable content horizon? Week one was fairly minimal for Americans, with two free costumes. Europeans were (mostly) happy to receive a MotorStorm costume and "Rare Week-1" t-shirt in addition to the free space suit and halloween mask. It doesn't stop there, though, and the Japanese LittleBigPlanet site may have revealed what's on the way this week.

As you can see in the image above, Japan will receive a total of five new costumes this week. Don't expect the Toro costume (based on the main character from Mainichisshyo) to come westwards. Though there's no reason why we won't see the chameleon, shark, penguin or gorilla costumes hitting the store before long (who knows, maybe even this week). There's also another free costume listed, based on the winner of the European costume design competition.

While it still may be early days, don't be surprised to see weekly downloadable content for LittleBigPlanet. Media Molecule are quick to state in interviews that just because the game is released, they haven't stopped working. We look forward to seeing whatever they choose to release to us and at these prices (Rare t-shirt excluded) we can hardly say no, can we?

I hope lbp will be like rock band and release some thing new every week........thats would be sweet!

Until "Old Sack" becomes a downloadable DLC in North America, my purple safety helmet and holly/costello style glasses are here to stay.

My thoughts exactly. I really don't see why they can't release it as a free costume anyway. Maybe not a lot of people will download it, but so what? Now I really wish you could use one region's DLC with another region's game. Damn!

I wish that NA would actually get some good LBP DLC like other places (Motorstorm in Europe, Ape Escape and Toro, in Japan, and at least the Week one Shirt)!!!

Heck at this point us North Americans aren't expecting much in the way of DLC at all. We didn't the PROMISED Week1 "rare" T-Shirt, we didn't get the Motorstorm costume, we didn't the stupid monkey costume, and now here's a set of 5 friggin more we probably won't get. Way to go Sony and/or Media Molecule!

In Australia, the week 1 T-shirt cost $8.45. Real T-shirts don't cost that much. Still, reading comments here, it looks like their strategy is gonna make them one hell of a little big profit.

Europeans were NOT happy about the "Rare Week 1 T-Shirt"! It cost us 4 GBP ~ 6.2 USD, when it should be free! We would rather spend the 6 USD in Thank-You cards to Criterion games (Burnout Paradise).

Seriously guys. That's a Red-Eyed Tree Frog, not a chameleon. I see how the tongue would throw you off, but the eyes are a dead give-away. Chameleons have those freaky cone eyes.

I got the Nariko costume with my game but my kids were peeved they didnt have it...

So I dowloaded it again but quickly pressed "download in background", then logged out of my account and logged into theirs and installed it and bingo they now have the costume...

Is this a way to share costumes then??? :-)

I'm not a happy camper with LBP after Losing over 60 hours of creating a level and now it's lost. I didn't even get a chance to publish it, THERE SHOULD BE SOME WAY TO BACK UP YOUR LEVELS!!! Not to mention how limited you are when creating (your object is too complex)... Awesome freakin game, but it needs more user friendy tools and functions!
