Insomniac talks Resistance 2's art at CGSociety
Want to know a little more about what it was like to be an artist behind the scenes on Resistance 2? A few choice Insomniacs have contributed to an article over at CGSociety.org where they talk about how many of the game's art assets were put together. The article also contains a load of screenshots from the game, such as the one above which shows an untextured Leviathan in the modelling package Z-Brush. A great read for any enthuast game artists.

'Bout time, waiting for CGS to do an article on this. Surprising more people don't use mudbox. I think it's just as good as z-brush.

the art looks fantastic; can't wait to read it over !!
btw, there's a typo in the last sentence.

Did Insomniac happen to mention any plans to stablize their network? Or perhaps a patch to allow the 2nd player(when 2 people play on one PS3) to be able to use a profile that can be leveled and saved rather than having a temporary subprofile that starts over each time...

Exactly my thoughts. It needs to be exactly like LittleBigPlanet for having two people being able to play on one specific Account.
And the connectivity started to go bad since this morning and two hours ago it stopped working all together. I played online with no problems yesterday.

They do need to stabilize their network! I hate playing one ranked game every 20minutes because it says "No games found"! The temp profile thing does not bug me so much, seeing as I try to avoid human contact as much as possible... and the sun.
anyway
this is pretty interesting stuff here!

It interesting to read about the software they used for designing game. I would love to see a making the game 20-30 minute video on PSN.
