Mana-Khemia: Student Alliance is a port of the PS2 game released earlier this year, but there are so many differences between the two. The PSP version substitutes regular multiplayer with adhoc multiplayer, and it also includes a "Jump Start" install feature on your memory stick for quicker load times. Couple that with new bosses and a widescreen presentation, the PSP version sounds worlds better than its PS2 counterpart. It sounds like if you waited for the PSP version, you've gotten the better end of the deal. That deal comes to fruition in two months time, January 2009. In the meantime, check out that box art above.

I am so picking this up.
I love Gust 2D sprite RPGs like the Atelier Iris series.
I have the ps2 version but all the new stuff in the psp version really appeals to me.

I am really loving NIS these days. I know it's a DS game, but the DS version of Rhapsody was fantastic fun for those of us who aren't into buying games for 100$ on eBay.

I've been hoping and hoping this was coming. I've only been able to find the PS2 version used for a ridiculous amount of money (why do RPGs always get jacked up prices on the secondary market? Especially ones that just bloody came out?!?).
I'm pre-ordering this tomorrow morning. Oh yeah.

Sweet boxart with cute schoolgirl in it, nice classic 2D hi-res RPG graphics, optional japanese voiceovers.... I'm SO getting this game. Thank god we got a release date! Thanks NIS.

Articles like this one are a key reason I check in with PSPfanboy constantly; thanks, PSPfanboy team. I almost bought the Ps2 version but took heart when there was concrete talk of a PSP release. Is there a better way to grind through an RPG than on the go? The PSP is truly the RPG fan's dream machine.
