New Japanese Edge of Twilight trailer released
This new trailer for Australian developers Fuzzyeyes' upcoming steampunk adventure has a distinct lack of gameplay, but we'll forgive it that because it's so incredibly moody. The voice over is all in Japanese, so we've no idea what's actually going on, but the visuals allow you to get a glimpse of the steampunk setting. The game certainly got our attention when we were given a private demo at TGS, so check out our eyes-on impressions for more info.

this video was great. i don't know from the gameplay gallery how it all will fit together. but this is definitely one i'm going to be looking out for. when is coming out? ~2009?

Oh dear gaming gods no! When Japanese developers start doing brown shooters as well then you know it is all over. I curse you epic, and the brown monstrosity of an engine you have unleashed upon the world. The army of ugly brown clones it has unleashed upon the world has snuffed the last glitter of hope that was still in Japan.

Oh, I could have sworn that it was from Japan. Or maybe I am mistaking it for another similar looking title? These brown shooters all look the same to me.

...Also, it's not a shooter, it's a third-person action/puzzle game. Looks a bit like Devil May Cry, but with a better story. It only looks brown in this trailer because it's a rusted steam-driven city, and the trailer takes place at dusk. The game itself has night and day gameplay with a range of environments. You didn't see the screenshots from the forest level?

I saw what looked like a pre-rendered trailer and that is what my comments were aimed at. That and another game I saw about a month ago which I am pretty sure was a Gears of War looking shooter pre-rendered trailer that allegedly was from a Japanese developer.
I forgot the name of that game and got it mixed up with this one, either that or they were both the same game that I was led to believe was Japanese.
Anyway, their respective pre-rendered looking trailers left me not only nay impressed but rather mad.
Anyone know what game I am talking about?
It was brown and from a Japanese developer, my heart sank when I saw its trailer.
