Street Fighter IV Hadoukens on PS3 this Feb. 17

Despite the terrible headline, we're sure you're excited to hear this news. It looks like Street Fighter IV has received a finalized launch date, though it's unfortunately not coming out this year. Instead, the continuation of the classic brawler series is opting to skip the Christmas season for a post-Valentine's Day release.

It will be out on February 17, 2009 in North America, while Europe waits three days for a Feb. 20 release. With this title in February and Resident Evil 5 in March, expect Capcom to dominate the first quarter of 2009.

Good thing that Chun-li is on the cover, because she is the BEST SF character. She'll most likely be the first person I use in the game.

February seems like a good fit; wouldn't want to put it too close to SSF2HD. (I think most who would buy one would buy both, but it's good not to hit them simultaneously.)

Feb release is perfect considering the Feb 10 release of Street Fighter Blu-ray. ;) :D

ehh might pick this up for the nostalgia. street fighter ex 3was my first ps2 game and i have a few others but honestly soul calibur is better IMO

The EU looks pretty bad featuring a ridiculous looking Ryu, a more faded montage of characters in the background and for some reason a much smaller Chun-li and Ken are fighting at the bottom...since when was that a key fight for advertising SF?? It's very anti-epic.

But it's all good. You can probly switch it out with something homemade.
