Meximanly @ Nov 16th 2008 6:59PM
When does the Darknight come out on Blu-Ray? Early or late into December?
Chris Are @ Nov 17th 2008 1:41PM
it comes out early december- around the 10th, I believe.
DrunkRaba @ Nov 16th 2008 6:23PM
wow that's a lot! WallE i'll get when it is very cheap, just waiting for Pineapple Express and of course, The Dark Knight next month.
seansloan @ Nov 16th 2008 6:29PM
terrific,I save money from not buying games. So i guess its wall-e and Tropic Thunder for me.
ericdj @ Nov 19th 2008 2:21PM
I got Wall-e and Tropic Thunder too. Everyone missed that the Foo Fighters Live at Wembley in Blu came out too. Watching it now.

I disagree about MirrorMask. It's a dream story that doesn't go anywhere. Dream stories are silly because nothing is real, so there are no rules and nothing really matters.
It starts ok. The girl's mom gets sick at the beginning. That's an interesting premise for a story. Then there's about 90 minutes of pointless filmmaker self-indulgence you could just fast-forward through. Then that gets wrapped up and the story about the girl's mom is concluded.
I don't recommend MirrorMask.

Some of the best movies were based on dreams...
Alice in Wonderland
Labyrinth
Brazil
Donnie Darko
Waking Life
Lost Highway

You have a good point. Dream stories can be good. But they can also be silly. The fact that there are no rules sometimes leads storytellers to put pointless stuff in just because they like it. But not always.
ryan @ Nov 16th 2008 9:56PM
I think I was interested in seeing it mostly because it was Henson's daughter's movie. But it just came off as "I'm Jim Henson's daughter! Watch me make a successor to Labyrinth!" And it wasn't nearly as enjoyable. :(
Mr. Joe @ Nov 17th 2008 10:56AM
mirrormask isn't bad. but it's not great, either. and please don't compare it to labyrinth. labyrinth is way better. mirrormask moves slowly and the story is kinda boring. it's just about the visuals and interesting creatures. it took all my strength to not fall asleep. there's no bowie to keep you entertained!
ryan @ Nov 16th 2008 10:02PM
Which are PS3 related...hmm....I think I might be onto something here...
anthonyjh @ Nov 16th 2008 10:03PM
Movies I need on Blu-ray: Koyaanisqatsi, Waking Life, and Children of Men. When this happens, I'll retire to a life of total seclusion.
I'm definately getting Wall-e. Great movie.
Dave @ Nov 17th 2008 12:06AM
ZOMG I need Koyaanisqatsi on blu-ray. I bought Baraka last week; hopefully if that sells well, we'll get Koyaanisqatsi too perhaps.
I have Chronos as well.
anthonyjh, what's your PSN? Any fan of Koyaanisqatsi needs to be on my PSN friends list.
Dave @ Nov 17th 2008 12:07AM
Also, Children of Men only coming out on HD-DVD was a travesty. We need that on blu as well!
anthonyjh @ Nov 18th 2008 12:01AM
PSN is (take a guess)... anthonyjh.
Maybe our awesome taste in movies will result in some online ass kicking.
jarhead906 @ Nov 16th 2008 10:07PM
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 for me!!
**Barf**
Anyway on a completely random topic, check this interesting analysis of GameSpot.com's horrible preview I ran into.

Anyone know if that "Digital copy" that comes with Wall-E works on the PS3?
deathxrebirth @ Nov 17th 2008 8:04AM
Not sure, but why would you want to watch the digital copy on your ps3 when you could watch the Blu-ray itself? :p
collegekid13 @ Nov 16th 2008 10:29PM
chock me up for the tropic thunder wasn't funny category
Deadpool @ Nov 17th 2008 12:05AM
What? It's because you didn't get your Tivo? Hey man....I'm going to go talk to the producers for you because the contract clearly says "if you don't like the movie Tropic Thunder you will receive a free Tivo". If they don't live up to their side of the deal, I'm gonna sic the lawyers on them.
I'm doing this because you're my buddy. Buddies stick together man. I'm gonna get you that Tivo!
collegekid13 @ Nov 17th 2008 1:33AM
jee golly mister you're swell.
to bad i just download what i want off of res. internet
JoeTheBlow @ Nov 17th 2008 9:55AM
The mistake you made is going full retard.
Never go full retard.
ryan @ Nov 16th 2008 10:33PM
Eh, agreed somewhat. I guess the PS3 is still trying to market that it's a multi-media entertainment machine vs. a solely game driven machine like the PS2...wait that played movies too right?...and the plot grows thicker...
Kenny @ Nov 16th 2008 10:58PM

deathxrebirth @ Nov 17th 2008 7:56AM
Wow, you are a miserable little human being, aren't you?
Gonzo @ Nov 17th 2008 10:09AM
Heathers is definitely one of my favorite movies from my teen years.
Hilarious! I'll have to get that.
The scraping the bottom of the Marvel Barrel collection is skipable. All it's missing for complete shame is Lee's Hulk.
