Maybe because the majority of people don't actually want them, and if it matters to you that much, pick up a used copy for like $4 at your local Gamestop. The PS3 will play it.

actually, gamestop stopped selling ps1 used or normal games in a majority of their stores, i remember signs about the year the 360 came out saying that after a certain date they will stop accepting trade-ins of ps1 games.

The reason Sony doesnt have PS1 games, is because the Company that owns the license to that ps1 game needs to be bought.
Some of these companies failed, or disbanded.
Its not really Sonys fault..

I wish Square Enix would release some of the ps1 games here in NA, like they did in Japan.. Would die to play Xenogears again.

It costs too much to publish them and get them re-rated by the ESRB for anyone to make money on them at $6.

you would think sony would have dropped SOMETHING significant just to steal a little of the thunder from the NXE dropping this week in microsofts camp. im not complaining cuz there is plenty of games to play right now but i mean... that's a long list with not a lot of substance.

How about a LBP demo or RES 2 or Mortal kombat vs DC or Motor storm 2. Or any new demos that would make me want to buy your games. Or how about putting HOME out . Home is about 2 years late eh!!!!. I love sony But they need to get on the ball.

I like getting the trailers, though it's less important now that sites like Gametrailers are now accessable through the PS3. Still, for me, it's the number of demos that determine whether an update is "good".
And we've had a lot of good updates over the last few months, so I'm not complaining.

does anyone else feel like add-on content has become a clever game by publishers to get the most money possible out of a game? i respect games like warhawk, and others like it, who put out add-on content months after a game comes out. Their added content was obviously something created post-game.
this week there are 12 add-ons for dead space (granted some are bundle packages). when did this game come out? maybe 2 weeks ago?
this content was obviously created well before the launch date and kept out of the game to make money.
people need to stop buying this bs content so publishers stop taking advantage of the market.

yeah...games like burnout and warhawk do it right. they add completely different gameplay and actual worthwhile stuff and a while after launch. lbp seems fine at the moment because it's actually believable that the costumes were just made. games like nfs and dead space just disgust me because all the content is on the disc. publishers need to do it right. although i do wish more maps came out for cod4 before cod:waw came out. i would have paid for that.
